I picked one of the middle ones, to humor you. Sean says 'The science says......" He prefaces his comment to point out that he is reporting what (someone else) is saying.
So,I am going to ask you again to give me a direct lie that he has told, in his (HIS) exact words....not just some repeat of someone else says. Look up the def of a lie, as I will apply it to your response.

I think much of this 'us' & 'them' mentality started with Obama,

We used to have a common set of facts that held our society together. Tribalism gets ratcheted up once you come to believe that only your side has the facts. The other side is working with an incomplete set of information, and they're all idiots.

So it comes from demonization of media and information. Good journalism as a profession does the hard work of synthesizing all the strands of information coming from various sources, synthesizing it and coming to a conclusion about what's most true. This is how science works as well.

But in the modern media culture, the standard M.O. is that I don't believe your facts because my team didn't say them. If you actually talk with words to someone who has consumed the Trumpy kool-aid, you'll find out they are very nice and likeable people who just aren't being exposed to a complete set of information.
