I have already stated many times on this forum that this ancillary stuff that politicians do means little to me, but it apparently means a lot to many other folks.

I care about limited government, so I vote the Democratic party ticket these days.

Democrats are generally considered liberal, while Republicans are seen as conservative. The Democratic Party typically supports a larger government role in economic issues, backing regulations and social welfare programs. The Republicans, however, typically want a smaller government that is less involved in the economy.

Why do they then govern so much bigger than Democrats? Deficits doubled in 2 years after trump took over from Obama. Added permanent welfare benefits for farmers in the tens of billions of dollars. Gave money to the Pentagon they weren't even asking for. Enacted tariffs. Nominated activist judges. I'd bet Hillary would not have done that.

I don't care what politicians want, I care what they do.
