when is the conference for Asian journalist, white journalist?
@moonbus saidMoonbus, you want to go there? Then tell us about Biden's racism, like the school bus, like the racial jungle he did not want his kids to be near. As to housing, I own housing, and I look real hard at people I rent to. Uhh, there are some people who tear places up. Or when they leave, they take an axe to a glass shower door. I swear. Had to replace that door. If the next tenant so much as resembles that guy, I will refuse to lease to him. Yep, that is the way it is. It is not about race. Y'all sure talk about race a lot.
Trump is a racist. He was sued for racist rental policies and forced to submit to federal controls for two years to ensure compliance with the law.

A leopard doesn’t change his spots. The question put to him at the conference was entirely appropriate: why should Black people vote for a racist?
I answered you.
I could go on, but it gets tiresome. I myself have been called a racist, I assure you I am not. Some libs make decisions based on race, so they are racists. THEY are racists. Live with it.
@Suzianne saidOf course, he needs to be asked questions, even tough ones, but so does Kamala don't you think?
Oh, please. Why do you people defend him?
He needed to be asked these questions, but he actually answered none of them.
And he was at a conference for black journalists! OF COURSE he would be asked why should black people trust him after all the nasty things he's said about them.
You always want to give the jackass a free ride. That's why he had a first term in the first place. Thanks for nothing.
Have you ever seen journalists (any color) ask Biden or Kamala tough questions in an unscripted event?
Have you ever heard about some of the things Biden and Kamala have said and done in their past?
Should not they be made to answer for some of the things they have said and done?
Your hate-mongering is showing again.

@KellyJay saidThe opening question was nothing of the sort; she presented Trump with his own quotes made to people of colour or about certain people of colour, and then asked how he could expect people of colour to vote for him. In response to that and the subsequent fully on topic and on point questions, Trump had a tantrum followed by an intellectual meltdown which included repeated blurts, deflections and attacks which drew gasps of derision and astonishment from the audience and panel.
The opening questions were couched in hate, taking things he had said to individuals and applying them as if he were saying them about every one of color. There was never going to be an honest discussion about any topic if all that was going to happen was people trying to get him to say anything they could twist into a racist comment, it was disgusting.
Anyone who all th ...[text shortened]... mongers no matter their color.
You are no different than that lady who asked the first questions.
The man is politically incompetent, socially inept, intellectually handicapped and behaves like a narcissistic buffoon when under scrutiny.
But it is always of interest to me to see you defending him and how your partisan loyalty to him infects your tone in the spirituality forum.
@KellyJay saidYour analogy of “have you stopped beating your wife” is an interesting one, because if the “wife beating” represents Trump making racists comments (which he had of course) then he indeed HAD been “beating his wife”. Therefore to ask him “have you stopped beating your wife” was indeed precisely the questioning tact to use.
Being asked a question similar to have you stopped beating your wife was loaded with you are a raciest baked into it. She took statements made to individuals and made them about the whole race, it was a disgusting display of racism baiting! Nothing hard hitting about politics where he stood on any topic for policy sake alone!
Nevertheless, Trump is too stupid and too arrogant to prepare for tough questions. Anyone else would have done a thorough pre-call-plan (as we say in corporate sales), prepared an adapted pitch to that specific customer’s needs and interests and anticipated “objections”, the tough questions. But he didn’t do any of that; he just rocked up unprepared and tried to use the same jazz-handed, lame-brained hyperbole he uses to you MAGA-hats at his rallies.
This was a HUGE missed opportunity for Trump to move the needle of black press and black voter opinion. It was a once in a campaign agenda slot where he could have listened, acknowledged his spoken mistakes, showed empathy and humility, mollified the audience and been statesman like. But of course Trump is none of those things, so instead he just pissed it up against the wall and convinced several million more floating voters not to vote for him.
Good.

@AverageJoe1 saidThis is not about whether Biden is a racist. This is not about whether you're a racist. This is about whether Trump is one, and his record on this is that he is. He was caught with his pants down refusing to let Black people rent his properties; his doorman testified that he was given explicit instructions to turn Black people away if they asked whether any apartments were available. Fred and Donald Trump were taken to court for breach of fairness in housing laws. After prevaricating for two years and filing a counter suit for defamation, which BTW was thrown out, his legal team finally talked some sense into him and convinced him that the evidence was going to convict him, so he settled. So it was entirely appropriate for reporters at the NABJ convention to call him on the issue of his racist remarks and business practises and ask hard questions.

Now, what happened when he was confronted with hard questions? Trump cracked under pressure, turned tail and ran -- he showed his true colors in that moment.
Can America -- can the world -- afford to have a man in the WH who cracks under pressure? Can the world trust a man who cuts and runs if Putin asks:
"Would you mind terribly if I were to return Slovakia to the Mother Ship? And Slovenia? And The Czech Republic? And Poland, Albania, Hungary, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and about a third of Germany? Would you mind terribly if I were to say I have put my ICMBs on launch-in-15-minutes mode, if you show any sign of resistance? Oh, and by the way, the Oligarchs won't be lending you any more money for your 'projects'--you've become bad credit risk."

Biden had his debacle moment during the debate with Trump.
This was Trump's debacle moment in a debate with a panel of journalists.

@Suzianne saidWould someone who wanted to keep the schools segregated by race be thought of as a racist? Would someone who only viewed other people by race and did all of their comparisons on any topic is always based on race, be a racist? How do you know who is and is not a racist, is it because of the things they do and say or do you have conditions that allow one race no slack but a harsh judgment, and another immunity for doing the same types of things?
Most people aren't racist, sorry.
