@averagejoe1 saidMutual respect and inter reliance, that the weak should not go to the wall and the strong do not get to dominate and ensure their predominance generation upon generation. That the masses should not allow the elite minority to divide them along racial, ethnic and sectarian lines and that their enemies are those who place themselves above them not those who suffer alongside of them.
Certainly not self reliance, independence, philanthropy, investing, starting a business, reaching for success, saving for retirement.
What, then?

@kadaswizard saidNot sure what your referring to, are you thinking of hippie communes? there is nothing in Marxism that would prevent parents from looking after and instilling values in their children.
a weird thing that a communist would to his or her child is that in communism, if the parent is a marxist, there would be no familial structure.
Is this some BS dystopian version of Marxism fantasised into the real world by a right wing dingbat.

Mathemetics, physics, biology, medicine, engineering, linguistics, computer science, law, economics, just to name a few things. A number of Nobel prize winners have come from former and current communist countries. Most a far better educated than you and most can speak multiple languages.
Joe, you can't even write a legible sentence in English half the time without making a mess of it (and as far as chess goes, what's your rating compared to theirs!) Maybe it's time you took a look in your own backyard before criticizing others. 😳

@kadaswizard saidYeah, Kev left that out in his response. Actually, he didn't say much either, except pontificate his hate for America and capitalism.

@kevcvs57 saidYou would have to define 'values'. I note in these several posts that no one teaches them the very virtues in my opening paragraph . Why is that? You do indeed prefer dependence to independence. And, hey, when a kid finds the cure for. cancer with their great education which you speak of, he will receive no reward as govt takes it away and spreads it among the masses. The genius child will trundle back to his sad little home and. the same and everyone else. Not upward movement. I'm not seeing any incentive for the children with your communism. I mean, what is there to work for? Do yo find fault with my teaching children the riches of the stock market?

creepy
I used the term interdependence which is a far more accurate description of modern living than your 19th century based fantasy of self reliance, are you gonna pull your own teeth and build your own 2 storey 4 bedroom house.
What a lying pretentious clown you are.
@kevcvs57 saidCommunists don't divide along racial lines. But people in capitalist states that want to become Communists do.

Communists don't send the weak to the wall. They send the strong to the wall so everyone will be weak.
And they ensure the strong don't dominate by ensuring everyone is weak. (except the rulers who are more equal than others).
They ensure the strong aren't well fed while the weak are hungry by ensuring that everyone is hungry.
@averagejoe1 saidWhy don't you crack a book and study up?

I spent some time in Havana and I'll tell you what I didn't see.
I didn't see a repressed people, fact is they were jovial and friendly.
I didn't see hungry people, citizens are guaranteed adequate nutrition.
I didn't see police on every street corner as I had fully expected.
I did see small local political protests and a comfortable middle class.
I broke a tooth down there, and I was whisked to a dentist, where my tooth was capped....free of charge...They refused a donation.
Lastly, I DID NOT SEE anyone living on the streets, the government guarantees a roof over your head, and some dignity in even a meager life.
And I do wonder why poor Cuba has a higher literacy rate, and a lower infant mortality rats than the wealthy United States.

Capitalism thrives on racial and sectarian tension it’s what the capitalist elite use to divert the attention of the masses from who is actually oppressing them.
You are clearly well embroiled in the system if you cannot see it.
Or are you brainwashed enough to think that the Dems are a communist party rather than the other half of the capitalist party that’s been in power since the colonial capitalists wrested power from the imperial capitalists.
Wake up!
