Why don't you tell us just what led up to that cultural shift? I would suppose any answer you post would not include the 300 years of slavery here in the US and you will NEVER understand the profound depression of the slaves and the effect on the genetics of their children. For that we have ONLY whitey to blame.
After 300 years or more of US slavery there are those saying deport them back to Africa but that is never going to happen so you have to live with the consequences.
I assume you are another racist Christian Nationalists wanting to put Jews in reservations and such and force Christianity to be the state religion, so much for freedom of religion or separation of church and state which is EXACTLY what they want, Christianity to be the official religion of the US, screw Hindi', Rastafarians, Sikh's, Muslims, Buddhists and the like.
And a ten thousand mile long fence around the entire US so nobody can get in.

And your next comment is quite conflicting, that we are covered up with crime, but at the same time you are saying, facetiously, to lock 'em up! You are saying, Shav, that we are covered up with all the cultural problems which lead to law breaking, and I guess you are saying we should nip it in the bud with education, etc. Shav, have you seen what they are teaching our children? It will all lead to hell, Shav. EG, it teaches socialism, which would result in hell for the USA, having our kids and grandkids working in factories, very unhappy, who will commit crime quite easily. So what is your idea to stop crime in America? All ears, but meanwhile we should put lawbreakers in jail. You think we should not??

Apparently he thinks everyone arrested for a minor crime should rot in jail indefinitely.
Bail reform was implemented for a pretty simple reason; neither NY or any other state has the jail capacity to keep everyone arrested in jail until trial even if it was allowed by the Constitution (which it isn't). This isn't being "soft on crime"; it's recognizing A) Reality and B) The 8th Amendment.
You kids are such pollyannas, goody two shoes. You do not know what is going on, wrong news sources. Do you know that the bill that passed yesterday will result in higher taxes and inflation for the middle class in the USA, whom were promised no tax increase by candidate Biden? I didn't think so.

I've seen all kinds of criminals from all walks of life and I never once met anyone who fit the mold of "crime to feed the kids"
Their was one guy who was caught with an illegal gun and his reason was because his neighborhood was so bad he needed it for protection.
I believed him and so did the judge because he was lenient with his sentencing.
So that could be a crime of necessity I suppose 🤔

Totally ignoring the part of my post saying blacks have changes genetically from hundreds of years of slavery and we see the result today. This is whitey's fault, ALL of us. It is white man's burden to know they have genetically changed blacks in the US.
So you are ok with a million legal immigrants, I guess you would much rather them to be only white though. And rich.

When Covid hit I looked up a few old prison buddies and a lot of them were released early because of covid.
The funny part is a couple of them already have outstanding warrants again 😂
You can look up any inmate as long as you know their prison number.
One of my old cellmates was murdered 😧
