@petewxyz saidDon't worry, the automatic censor doesn't discriminate. It's a blunt instrument that whacks us all at one time or another. There are many Japanese words I can't use as they often incorporate a rude English word.
Makes it look like it was something worse by removing it. I just made a reference to never using the term people created by taking the word Brexiter and putting sh between the x and the i. Unbelievable, you try and do something positive and you get censored (on the site with no censorship of racism etc)!

@ghost-of-a-duke saidTaking the masses a bit for granted with that sort of behaviour!
I like to randomly remove people's posts, just for chuckles.
😀

@petewxyz saidTry not to take it personally Pete, automod is set up to indiscriminately remove posts where that collection of letters is included. As I said I managed to capture your original comment in my reply so your well meant reply is preserved.

@kewpie saidGreat tip!
Occasionally I have second thoughts about the content that I have just posted. So I edit my post by adding a certain 4-letter word. Automod obligingly removes all evidence of my original post, and doesn't leave that "removed by poster" either. I really like automod.
@divegeester saidSo where are you from, is it the US or Brazil? Because the post your pretending to be offended by specifically singled out those two societies.
The inclusion of me, divegeester, in whatever differentiation you were making between your target group and other people was certainly not explicit and I don’t believe it was implicit nor even intended, but I really don’t mind nor care either way.
There is certainly no need to make a faux apology in a slightly embarrassing attempt to flick a bit of poo at me as I made ...[text shortened]... y decent effort to make a reasoned response to your OP which contained a good point. Nevermind then.
Your response was clearly personal against the poster and in no way addressed the point of the post.
Perhaps they are more polarised socially because they are more polarised economically, if your rich in those countries you tend to be very rich and if your poor your very poor.
Most European countries, including Britain are much more stratified in that we have a large middle class and much smaller % of people who exist in dire ( albeit relative ) poverty.
@kevcvs57 saidI agree with a lot of this other than the idea that British society has a small percentage of people living in poverty. British society is more divided into haves and have nots than it has ever been. Child poverty is too easily overlooked because it is hidden in northern towns and cities. Vast numbers in forgotten places. I recently visited the ex-mining communities East of Durham which are a really good example. I also imagine there are whole forgotten areas of Southern cities too. I think one of the problems with our politics is people don't see enough of the problem to draw the right conclusions about social policy.

@kevcvs57 saidYou possibly missed my first post in the thread as I’m sure your reading comprehension is not this bad and I’m sure you are not being intellectually dishonest in your claim that my post you are referring to, was replying to the OP....

Btw, it’s good to see and indication that you are against posts making personalised comments and I welcome the revised and improved content of yours going forward.

@wolfgang59 saidSweden has taken the most laissez-faire attitude toward the virus on the entire planet.
Why are Right-whingers either in total denial of the devastation
COVID-19 will do or promoting a laissez-faire attitude? I don't get it.
I do not see this schism between right & left in many other
countries apart from US. (Maybe Brazil ...) What gives? Why?
What is more puzzling is, why are you more preoccupied with those on the right than Sweden.

@whodey saidWell, for one thing they are the third largest country in the European Union with an area of 173,000 square miles and have a population of 10 million which automatically tends to check the spread of diseases. New York City has a population of 8.4 million in an area of 300 square miles.

@wolfgang59
Right Whingers? Affluents and others are leaving the liberal utopias of NYC in droves, bringing death with them as they do so. What knowledgeable and such capable "world citizens"...
@divegeester saidNo I didn’t miss it but I wasn’t replying to your first post I was replying to the post I was replying to.

I didn’t find much to disagree with in your first post concerning the actual topic, there was some self pitying victimhood claiming but nothing to extreme for your forum persona.
It was when you insisted against all the evidence that the title post was a personal attack on you that my fingers autonomously spasmed on my keyboard.

@wolfgang59 saidWhy? Because most countries are just left. You have left and further left, which when viewed within your country as right and left.
