@divegeester saidIt’s not about sitting with riff raff, it’s about the costs of protection.
I couldn’t care less if Starmer doesn’t want to sit with the riff raff, it’s the same for every elected MP at every event.
I’m happy he’s been exposed so early, at this rate there will be another election mid term and we can get this lot out.
@moonbus saidIt’s been called the “loveless landslide”, even many Labour voters are already dismayed with the decisions, the tone and the attitude of this cabinet.
I still contend that Starmer did not win the recent election. The Tories lost it. It's now Labour's to lose, and they're right on course, doing nothing right.
They’ve caved into the unions already with no productivity negotiations, cut the pensioners winter fuel allowance within days … days… of coming to power whilst giving train drivers a 15% pay rise (£10,000), closed a steel works and a coal works, done fuk all whatsoever about the illegal or legal immigration crisis, and gov.uk is STILL advertising all the benefits channel crossers will get if they come here - yes it’s all on the governments website … cash, priority housing, priority health and dental care. Yet they’ve told the country there will be no more money for the NHS in this Parliament (except wage increases via unions strikes already done)
It beggars belief.

@divegeester saidThe English system to give parlamanet seast had me wondering in the 80's when I learned about it in school, but would reform change that if they were in Power? That would actually be an argument in favour.
11 million votes vs Reform 4 million. Labour got 411 seats, Reform got 5.
Starmer’s Labour got less votes than Corbyn did. It’s a freak result which exposed the broken FPTP system.
@Ponderable saidReform won’t get into power with the current system unless they tie up with the Tories because there aren’t enough votes on the right and it’s split between them. However a coalition between reform and the Tories would be possible if the Labour vote collapses and either Reform or the Tories can secure a minority.

This is why I am perversely delighted to see Labour cocking up everything they touch, everything they say. If it’s going to get worse then it needs to get worse double quick because under the surface Labour are split and there are two contributing fault lines; the first in the Party itself, along the hard left border of Corbynite MPs, and the second in the grass roots voters who gave Johnson his 80 seat majority to “get Brexit done” and ostensibly get the borders closed, which of course they didn’t do because they didn’t leave the ECHR (which the UK and all European countries needs to abandon double quick if they want to control their own borders).
So in answer to your question, yes Reform would ‘reform’ the voting structure if they had sufficient coalition support or had an overall majority. It’s all what ifs and howabouts though.

@divegeester saidYou said there's been 2 months of "hard left socialism". Twice now I've asked you to give an example.
Labour call themselves a socialist party.
Go figure.
I don't expect an answer of course, I already know you have no idea what socialism is or what a "hard left" policy would be.

@vivify saidWhy don’t you give me your definition of socialism and I’ll tell you if that’s what Labour are?

If all you can do is petty over the definition of socialism from my OP then I’ll take it you just want to deliberately miss all the actual points.

@divegeester saidNo, that is racist profiling.
Because Ahmed is a Muslim terrorist?
It’s because the level of security you can achieve is in direct proportion to the size of the group and how open a space is.

@divegeester saidLmao.

You said there's been 2 months of "hard left socialism". Provide an example. Any example.
I'll quit now, the point was made. You just want to laugh at the political opponents. Fine and dandy. But claiming Starmer was brought down by "hard left socialism" is proof you don't know what it is. If anything, Starmer's done the exact opposite by cutting fuel payments.
