Nope. Not one time have I asked you to define socialism. I already know you can't.

What I did ask: name one of these so called hard left policies you claim brought down Labor. You haven't because you can't.
Fifth time…

Labour call themselves a left wing socialist party, their choices, policies and actions are therefore, by their own definition, socialist left wing policies.

Getting it yet?

Wow, bro.

Name a *specific* policy decision like you did in your OP. What specific legislation from Labor is socialist?

I'll even let you off the hook with the "hard left" part. Just a name any socialist decision that caused to labor to "implode" like you claimed.

- imprisoning people for nasty Facebook posts (yes that happened)
- not imprisoning Labour councillor for calling for opponents to have throats slashed
https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cpdlvz80pjzt

1) Since when could MPs "imprison" anyone?
2) Ricky Jones was arrested and charged, he was also kicked out of Labor
3) Those Facebook posters were charged for the same thing Ricky Jones did

Let me off your hook 😂 you’re kidding right?

Perhaps if you don’t think Labour are socialist then you would be better writing to Free Gear Keir and telling him.

Yeah, the 'freebie' thing is a disgrace. I understand they're considering a price - hike on alcohol, and pretty soon you won't be able to sit in a pub garden and roll a fag.

We are approaching the end of civilization as we know it.....

Edit; this was in response to your opening post Mister Divegeester,. I should have pressed the 'quote' button. Still, my point stands.

I have no issue with a once a season freebie for the PM to go see arsenal. However it would be very nice if he said he’d personally pay 50% of the value to a charity; politically expedient too. That’s my personal threshold.
As for all the stuff like clothes for him and his wife, it’s a disgrace.

You haven’t been able to smoke in beer gardens for decades Phil, but now they want to stop people vaping in them too. It will kill off much of the struggling pub trade. Idiotic nannying imo.

What....? (re. the smoking) , I've clearly been away from the mother - country for too long, I hadn't realised how far it had declined....It'll be five years now since our last brief visit.

My beloved was a Public (Civil) Servant for some of her career, and it was made very clear that she could accept NO gift or gratuity for services rendered to the public, not even doughnut to say 'thanks' for whatever, you could get sacked for that, zero tolerance. It's a pity Mister Starmer doesn't adhere to the same principles.

It’s also a pity that the very first thing which this Labour government does, the first Labour government in 14 years, is to remove the pensioners winter fuel allowance. At the Chancellors first speech in the commons. An astonishing spite-attack on some of the poorest in society and contradictory to Labour’s own attacks on the Tories last year when changes to the scheme were floated by them. A misstep, or a tone-deaf lash-out at a segment of the populous who largely, traditionally vote conservative I wonder.

In the same speech the chancellor announced the settlement of unions demands for public sector pay awards, amongst which which was train drivers getting a whopping 15% rise taking many from £60,000 to £70,000 pa. Amusingly the unions are not placated and threatening strike action next year if pay does not continue to sufficiently increase, whilst simultaneously attacking the hand that just fed them this typical Labour donut-of-dosh, by demanding that Labour u-turn on the winter fuel decision.

Meanwhile a Labour supporting think-tank has this week reminded and advised Starmer that his landslide victory is “uniquely fragile” given that it is based on a minority of public support spread gossamer thin across the FPTP electoral system and that the win margin consists mostly of 12% disgruntled Tory voters who were convinced to give Labour a chance compounded by 19% of Tory voters voting for Reform and another 18% going LibDem. The huge majority of UK voters didn't want Labour even before the train wreck of their “first 90 days” and Starmer’s (and Labour’s) approval rating has since crashed through the floor to Johnson’s lowest level … within 80 days of them being in power.

The Chancellor and another cabinet member have come out this week and acknowledged that they also accepted gifts of thousands of pounds in clothes from wealthy party supporters. This is the same Chancellor who cut pensioner’s fuel allowance a few weeks ago. Sir Free-Gear Keir has said he’s blocked free clothes gifts but, as though with gritted-teeth defiance, he still accepted yet another Premier League VIP corporate box invitation with another cabinet member at the Spurs ground to watch Arsenal on yesterday. I guess his principles drove that decision, but also maybe he’s just not personally worried about his clothes, but he still wants his freebie football box attendance. So much for that principle then! Such is his confidence in his “loveless landslide” I suppose.

More reports today: the education secretary used part of a £14,000 donation from Lord Alli to fund a party to celebrate her 40th birthday with “professional colleagues” and “political (Labour supporting) journalists”. Also that Clare Rayner the deputy prime minister used party donation money to fund a holiday for herself and a personal friend.

It seems to really have grabbed you by the balls.
Funny how the tory corruption didn’t seem to have the same effect…

It’s wonderful!

And it’s also interesting to see you post this above and to see you defending them earlier in this thread when you attacked the Tories relentlessly for anything like this.

I’ll be writing more about “Free Gear - “Two Tier” Kier and his incompetence as Director of Public prosecutions as it becomes clear that he not only failed to prosecute Jimmy Savile but now also Mohamed Al Fayed!

Let me know if you want PM updates….

60 days in and the UK Labour Party approval already 20 points down and “Free Gear” Starmer (aka Two Tier Starmer) is in hot water over freebies.

The man has had around £110,000 in freebies from a variety of “admirers” since becoming leader of the party in 2019.
This is the highest amount of freebies of any member of the uk parliament and almost 3 times the amount of ...[text shortened]... other “winter of discontent” for the Labour Party and I’m going to enjoy every single minute of it 🙂
I don't get it. On the one hand you seem to be against "socialism," but on the other you're against "scrapping" the winter fuel payments -- something of a socialistic policy if ever there was one.

And it's not being entirely scrapped -- just for those who don't need the payments. There will be means testing.
