To all the smarta$$es who constantly harass GB because they don't like his threads please see Thread 142005
Edit: I don't particularly like GB or his threads but I don't dislike them enough to give a rats ass either what I do dislike is when a thread isn't even following the thread.
Edit2: The drama whores are frickin annoying.
Edit3: Yeah I went there.

Where have you been for the last fifty years? Women are college professors, women are ministers,
women are physicians, women are lawyers and judges, women are mayors and governors, women
are in Congress, women are CEOs of major corporations, women are astronauts. They're even
allowed to go to church without wearing hats.

Please note your question above. It's the point of reference for the off topic sidebar in which you seem to be wallowing.
Off course there have been tremendous technological and career related changes within recent decades, which have served to correct inequities and double standards of the past. Male dominance in many of the more lucrative high profile professions has gradually given way to increased female participation. Intellectual high octane, capacity for large scale responsibilities and the pragmatic ability to consistently achieve above expectation results have become the objective criteria for hiring and promotion.
Nobody disputes these obvious facts. Some women remain single longer or marry with the idea of postponing the stork's arrival. Others do a balancing act of handling both work/travel and home responsibilities with the assistance of child care agencies, helpful parents and husbands willing to trade in their own careers to become stay at home Mr. Moms.
So, once again, Andy, you drag us through conversational mire by reiterating your superficial observations. One more time with pretty please and perfumed sugar on it... What does "womans work" mean to you today?

Back to Answer;
I deplore plastic bags and fishing hooks, in that order. I deplore plastic bags period. I deplore carp fishermen who use under weight line, try to pull in a 30lb carp, the line snaps and they just reel in what's left of the line. We know the rest. 🙁

That's right, Jim, ignore the peer pressure. Keep those gals in the kitchen where they belong.

Thread Note: Seems to me there are far more things to appreciate in this one life we're privileged to live than to deplore. That's why I initiated "101 Things We Appreciate" first. Curious that it's dying on the vine, while "202 Things We Deplore" appears to have taken on a life of its own. Raises the question, 'Why would criticizing hold more appeal?' Unsurprising that "303 Things We Want to Know" never really got off the ground. Maybe human nature tends to become self satisfied with what is already known.

This doesn't really fit in with your theory now does it? Ever heard of a 'texan sharp shooter'? This thread was started more recently, which is probably why it is still getting attention, as the other one dies its death. As for '303 Things we want to know', well I think by the time you created this, people had kind of got bored of the same old style of threads and they were getting a bit stale. People were wondering when this repetive garbage was going to stop and started to create their own spin off threads for an injection of humour.
You can read into this what you like but it seems to me that you are just massaging statistics to fit your own means. Do all of your threads have a cynical agenda? Why are you constantly trying to prove that you are the only voice of reason in here and try to smear anyone who dares have a different point of view, or challenges your attempted dominance of the GF?
Anyway I will stop now as I am probably only giving you the attention that you crave, be it positive or negative.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Today, in these enlightened times, kitchen and other household chores need to be shared.
In the context of my question, "woman's work" is the old familiar list of homemaker duties -- planning and cooking
meals, scrubbing pots and pans, washing clothes, ironing clothes, mopping floors, etc., etc., etc. -- all in addition to
delivering and raising children.
You obviously have a warm spot in your encrusted heart for this archaic gender stereotype.
