@suzianne saidWe have Male Doctor's who deliver babies! So, why couldn't a male be taught how to deliver a baby? 🙂
Actually, yeah, I am.
Midwifery is a long established craft. I don't think men could do it, OR be taken seriously in it. To adequately help a woman through pregnancy and delivery, I think that a woman would be best-qualified to help and advise.
I just can't imagine being 8.5 months pregnant and being told "do this, do that" by some dude. Sorry, dude, piss off, what would you know about it?

@drewnogal saidIf there are, they seem not to be participants in the general forum.🤔
There must be a few on RHP?
They are known to keep a score of their deliveries.

@divegeester saidYes, maybe.
If what you are suggesting is that you should be free to post your opinions without potential redress from other posters, then perhaps you are being a little unrealistic.

@divegeester saidI have in the past not in this thread, but we got over it and moved on. 🙂
Has anyone been discourteous to Torunn?

@great-big-stees saidWell more her doing than me, she is a very nice person as you know. Speaks her mind, more than she once did, which is a good thing.

@very-rusty saidThank you, with age comes integrity, if not earlier.

@divegeester saidShe also said it was changing, why edit that part out of her post? What she said was true, just like bricklayers and members of parliament were traditionally men but that, like the world in many ways is also changing.
Women “traditionally” have been paid less than men. Is the “traditional” card the one you really want to play?
@a-unique-nickname saidAs it will continue to…thankfully.

@a-unique-nickname saidI included Torunn’s entire post, exactly because I anticipated a post like yours here.

@fmf saidI don't think divegeester is such a fragile flower that he can't be diplomatically silent when he needs to be. And the same goes for you.
Here's a possible compromise. divegeester undertakes not to read your posts and you undertake not to say anything in them that he wouldn't like if he did. Everybody happy.

@drewnogal saidThere don't seem to be many midwives here, but still women with experience. A very important job.
Ah … one of my ‘Finest’ threads has returned.
