3 stents, managed to shed 3 stones but was found to have heart failure christmas before last ended up in hospital 2 units blood 1 unit iron turned out the blood thinners they put me on were causing internal bleeding, had my meds adjusted and have slowly started to pull myself back to normal,the sad thing is I have to eat a protien rich diet containing heme iron so loads of steak....Rusty its terrible LOL

Jeez, I had 3 stents and I am only allowed 6 ounces of red meat a month. Not that I follow it to the letter. 🙂 Then they didn't make a mistake to give me blood thinners either. I don't see all that red meat being good for you.

Sorry to hear about the internal bleeding Badge. James Cook are supposed to have one of the best cardiac units in the country. I had heard a few of their top guys had recently left.

well its august 2019 the H/A, they did a brill job but november 2021 my meds were stopped(no longer made) so my B/P went haywire and I developed heart faliure and tachycardia, the blood thinners they put me on caused internal bleeding it must have been bad cos they rushed me in for a transfusion and iron infusion, put me on a course of iron tabs and swapped my thinners now I am on the mend. thanks for the concern its appreciated.

I see, I am just on the 81mg's of aspirin have to take one each day because of my blockage. So that would be the only blood thinner if you want to count it as one, it would be considered a very mild one. You sound like you had a tougher time of it than I did, good luck.

cheers rusty, just bad luck they took Tenif off the market , my GP switched me to new BP tabs and opened a can of worms, ps where is Stees these days?

The 81mg's of aspirin are also for children. They figure a small dosage each day will help keep things flowing eventually I would assume the stents will plug up.

Stees, last I heard was going on a trip to Cuba. I told him bad time of the year to be traveling, think he may have got caught over there with the big Winters storm we got. Ontario I believe are still experiencing it today. Possible he got stuck in Cuba.

dont think the stents will fur up probably be some othe artery getting stuffed up.

The Doctors agree with you, but the possibility does exist that it could happen. AS you said in the other artery there was a small one they didn't bother with as it wasn't stopping the flow of blood. They are thinking the aspirin and a few other pills I am taking will stop that from happening but are keeping a watch on it. My H/A was 2018 on Father's Day.
We must have gotten over a foot of snow over night, I'll have to go out and tackle the snow. Mostly my Van to clean off, I have it parked at the end of the driveway, so can get on the road if the need arises.
