Ahh .. padded cells.

Now we are in an area in which I have expertise.

The key is a good polyeurethane composite stretch fabric, with tempur foam underlay. Mounted against the finest breeze block. This greatly reduces injury. Indeed you could headbang with gay abandon and suffer nothing more than superficial chaffing

But then there is the added complication that if it is raining, banging your head against the walls of a tent can cause water to penetrate.

This would make for an uncomfortable night
