What is the point of having a job when there is nothing you want to buy? 😕
Who buys your food and clothes, or anything that you have or use that money exchanged hands for? Do you have thousands of pounds in the bank waiting to be spent in the coming years? Do you want to go to university? Who will pay for that?
I have a 17 year old son that would be moving out today if he had made that comment.

I've said it once, I've said it twice, but I'll say it again: This is the funniest joke ever written:
It was a rainy evening and I was cycling home through the woods. I wasn’t cycling in a straight line. No sir! I was all over the place. I had in me: 3 liters of beer, 2 vodka martini’s and half a bottle of chilled white wine.
As I staggered (or ...[text shortened]... dit: Besides, obviously, the classic: "I've told you a million times...do not exaggerate!"

In fact I have an income of £10 a week for every week that I go to college, EMA, and now I have £300 quid in the bank that I haven't spent. 😵
With regards to uni, well, it isn't like I have to pay for it all up front.
😛
No, there are loans you can take out for that sort of thing, special types of loans whereby you don't need to pay interest on your interest, etc.
*sigh* I guess I might get one this summer though.
But no way am I working whilst I'm at college or school or whatever, I have enough of my time taken away from me for being in full time education as it is! 😠

Originally posted by shortcircuitI am usually at college from around 9 in the morning, till about 4/4:30 in the afternoon, each week day, and on top of this they expect me to put in the same amount of studying on the subjects material outside the lessons. I really don't have the time for a job I would think. 🙁

Had a crash this morning. Hit a car up the backside. Fella got out the car and he was a dwarf. He said, "I'm not happy." I said,"Which one are you then?"
Not the funniest, but still worth a smile and clean enough to tell your Mum!
Which kinda spoils your joke.
Damned political correctness 😠

There is 168 hours in the week.
49 hours of this I spend asleep.
26 ½ hours at college.
15 hours and 10 minutes getting ready in the morning and travelling there and back.
20 hours studying outside of college.
This leaves me with a maximum of 57 1/3 hours free time.
I guess that might sound like a lot to you. 😕
But I know that if I had to use this time working I would kill myself. 😞
That is a promise. :'(
I wouldn't really mind if the job was good, I enjoyed it there or whatever, but most jobs are menial, leading nowhere. 🙁
I've done work experience before and I hated it. 😠
Anyway, with the way I have been feeling recently, depressed and all that, I'm not up to it anyway. 😞
edit: the thing is I suffer from problems relating to sunlight, if I finished college at 4 and then went somewhere to work for a few hours, it would be dark when I left, not so much in summer but for the rest of the year.
It would stretch those damn winter months even longer, so I would be in the dark longer.
I HATE THAT, I BLOODY HATE IT!!!
It makes me really depressed. :'(
Originally posted by asromacalcioI did think about that when I posted it, but considering some of the other things posted in this forum I thought it not too bad. 🙂

I had to or I wouldn't have had the opportunity. Son, you don't know hardship until you have lived it, and so far, from you describe, you must be a royal with a silver spoon in your mouth because you really don't have it rough at all.

Do you have seasonal affective disorder, do you know what that is like?
