At the moment my parents buy me all of my food, they give me somewhere to live of course, they don't so much buy me clothes because anything 'expensive' as they say I have to buy myself. Which is to say very infrequently, I also never go out anywhere...😞
In fact I have an income of £10 a week for every week that I go to college, EMA, and now I have £300 quid in the bank that I haven't spent. 😵
With regards to uni, well, it isn't like I have to pay for it all up front.

No, there are loans you can take out for that sort of thing, special types of loans whereby you don't need to pay interest on your interest, etc.

*sigh* I guess I might get one this summer though.

I am usually at college from around 9 in the morning, till about 4/4:30 in the afternoon, each week day, and on top of this they expect me to put in the same amount of studying on the subjects material outside the lessons. I really don't have the time for a job I would think. 🙁

49 hours of this I spend asleep.
26 ½ hours at college.
15 hours and 10 minutes getting ready in the morning and travelling there and back.
20 hours studying outside of college.

This leaves me with a maximum of 57 1/3 hours free time.
I guess that might sound like a lot to you. 😕
But I know that if I had to use this time working I would kill myself. 😞
That is a promise. :'(

I wouldn't really mind if the job was good, I enjoyed it there or whatever, but most jobs are menial, leading nowhere. 🙁

I've done work experience before and I hated it. 😠


Anyway, with the way I have been feeling recently, depressed and all that, I'm not up to it anyway. 😞


edit: the thing is I suffer from problems relating to sunlight, if I finished college at 4 and then went somewhere to work for a few hours, it would be dark when I left, not so much in summer but for the rest of the year.
It would stretch those damn winter months even longer, so I would be in the dark longer.

So, just a bit of curiosity here....do you think you are the only person ever to endure what you are undertaking? I worked a full 40 hour work week WHILE I got my college degree---for four years. I also had to sleep some, study and do my homework assignments and prepare myself for going out as well. I had to or I wouldn't have had the opportunity. Son, you don't know hardship until you have lived it, and so far, from you describe, you must be a royal with a silver spoon in your mouth because you really don't have it rough at all.

college degree...well, that is university here I guess, how much time did you have to commit to that?
