Welcome back to the forums sir. Behave yourself.
Amélie (Brilliantly written and acted).
I will do my best, provided Dive and FMF back off.

Welcome back chaney3; I hope the bite-down during the ECT hasn't spoilt your smile 😛
It won't be better than mine.

Mine: An Officer and A Gentleman.
Louis Gossett Jr. is by far the dominating force in this movie, despite Richard Gere being the star.
Awesome movie.
A vaguely interesting expose on McTayto and Vespin's feeble attempt to sabotage the clan feature in 2016.
Thumbs down all around.
Oh wait !!
You asked for the best movie.
I'll post this anyways. Just for a laugh. 😀

Awesome movie.
There are many but one of my favourites is from 1987.
The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
Daniel Day Lewis
Juliette Binoche
Lena Olin
Set in 1968 Prague with Soviet tanks rolling in.
Great insight into relationship between 3 people in middle of resistance to empire.

Ok, so if you're talking "best" as in "most acclaimed" I've no idea, but if you're talking "best" as in the movie I'd watch before my execution then I'd go for Shawshank Redemption.
It's a bit obvious I know, but it's a long movie that holds your attention, great story, ethics, redemption, friendship, hardship, and a happy ending.

A lot of good movies have been mentioned already.
I think my favourite is "O brother where art thou."
An Officer and A Gentleman.
