Several years ago I was a mod on another site (not chess related) & banned several users after warnings.
If you break the site TOS then that's your problem.
If you don't like the terms which you agreed then don't use the site.
As Smaug said, Dutchee is probably already regenerated anyway so what's the problem?
The only rims I'd consider modding are on my 200sx, thanks 😉
What I'm saying is that the punishment look, to me, to be too severe for the heinous crime he committed.
No real arguments against then...just an "I saw something I didn't like"
I agree with A ban of some sort, but you've really got to take into consideration the constant goading and the fact the DD wasn't aiming to be sooo offensive, rather just being naive.
The ban in itself is just classifying DD as any other newbie on the site, when the fact is, we've all known him for a few years and, despite it being against most people's personal taste, we know it wasn't meant that way
Personally, I think he's served his time

I'm sorry, but DD is clearly a kid who made a mistake. A total ban is disproportionate and the people who lose are the people interested in his ideas about Chess. It is not good enough to write that RHP is not a democracy. Most people do not believe in such an obvious lack of accountability; people demand more. Subscribers have views; I'm not one yet (12 completed games but I am not encouraged to subscribe by arbitrary decisions) and so do the advertisers who really fund this site. There are many people who are clearly unhappy about this decision and I would suggest that it should be reviewed. No organisation can afford unhappy clients/customers/users. Think about it.
