The forums appear to be very slow recently, some days almost waiting for an hour for a fresh post to come through.
I would like to make a pledge that we bring back the Rec system to see if it changes things (and you have to agree it was fun when we had it)
I would like this post to get as many posts as possible in order for Russ to see how many people want it back.

People formed their own cliques and rec'd everything their buddies posted, no matter how bad it was, and even if it was a simple smiley face!
No, I do not want to see stupid posts getting recs again just because recs had no value.

I don't care that people rec'd their friends. I was never concerned with how many I had. It did bring more life into the posts.
The biggest downfall of recs, howver, is that perfectly legitimate threads were ruined because of smart alec posts created just to get a rec. I don't know how you can get away from that.
