Do you even know what you are arguing for ? I'm damn sure you weren't here to see what life was like with the old rec system, so i'm guessing you're sitting there just hoping what you typed made sense.

It was a much more entertaining way of participating in the forums as opposed to now. It had nothing to do with some form of self worth, not that you would understand that, but it was a great deal more entertaining when we had them.
I don't remember the last time I even dished out a rec anymore. Just not the same.

I just believe that the REC system has a unique competitiveness to it which is parallel to the competitiveness in chess.
Competitive people play on this site and REC system is a good fit.
It would also give us an idea (in the future) which people are worthwhile (entertaining, informative, witty etc...) when it comes to the forums.
It's just cool.
Please vote and if I get a big number of pro-votes, I know what to do.

That's the same as only buying music that's in the charts or only buying books that are in the bestsellers list. Use your brain and make your own mind up. Or are people here incapable of that?

You may call it "the good times".
You may call it stupidity.
However, it surely shows some-"thing" like the number of your wins or moves show something.
