Sorry FMF, what a backwards, narrow-minded little county you live in.
There are "backward, narrow-minded" people in every country.
And while I don't agree with nor condone this criminalization of sex outside marriage, driven as it is by conservative, and religious beliefs that I do not share, Indonesia is not a "little" country [almost as big as the USA in terms of population and area... but, it's alright, I know you were just using the word condescendingly], nor is it going to do you any good, should you ever have the chance to debate an Indonesian supporter of this law, to tell them that they are "backward" or "narrow-minded".
This is because such rhetoric will only come across as yet another extension of what they see as the cultural contamination and godless, conceited, morally self-destructive perspectives that make "Western" values toxic to many people in traditional, old-fashioned societies ~ which this Indonesian one largely is.
The legislators who pushed for this, and the many millions who endorse this law, look at the negative impacts of adultery and sex outside marriage on other cultures, like the UK and the USA, and think: this is not for us, and this pervasive "immorality" that has been infecting our way of life must be tackled.

I don't want to visit the Ukraine anymore.
i totally understand why you wouldn't wanna visit
ukraine, on the other hand, is a lovely agricultural country and a wonderful example of courage combined with bread and cheese and wine
