@divegeester saidShouldn't have opened that second bottle of wine.
I awoke this morning with eyes sore, blinking, squinting, looking up at the ceiling for a soothing insight, my mind a black raging storm of amnesia.

@divegeester saidSounds like you've made a more or less full recovery then. Excellent.
Update....
It appears that the arms I now have were not only sewn back onto the wrong sockets, they weren’t actually my arms at all!
I only noticed on day two that the tattoo I had on my left forearm (now my right forearm) was gone and replaced by a new tattoo depicting an iron cross with the slogan :
“a woman is a temple built over a sewer”
More worry ...[text shortened]... lier.
Why do they always pick these women to read the sport news, what do they know about sport.
@relentless-red saidIt seems I’m not in full control of my arms, even if they are my arms at all. What is that condition when a person feels there limbs are not their own!?

I have no recollection of where I was last night and I found some blood on the back of my hands when I went to freshen up. I fear the worst has happened but I am not the one who has really done it.
@divegeester saidA bit like Alisson Becker these days 😂

@divegeester saidSounds like you are enjoying the prospect of a visit to Anfield tonight. We've had a bad month. It was preceded by a near perfect 36 months. We have our first five choices of centre defender missing (Van Djk, Gomez, Matip, Fabinho, Henderson), but we still have the most points from 'big six head to heads' this season. So, will Thomas come to attack the soft centre to our defence? Would that be the right thing to do or is that 'the big six mistake'?

@instantkarma777 saidNicely witted there!
They should not have arrested you.
You were armless.
@relentless-red saidEveryone is enjoying the prospect of a visit to Anfield these days and I’m not sure your “near perfect 36 months” claim would pass the scrutiny going on in Holyrood this week.

I’ve always been a positive neutral when it comes to Liverpool and I’m also a Klopp fan, but I have to say that in my opinion your problems lie a little deeper than blaming your missing men, which is Klopps too frequent comment. I do however think it’s part of the problem.
What is also the problem is a malaise in desire to win the league for a second time as was pointed out quite insightfully and succinctly by (the annoying) Roy Keane a couple of weeks ago during yet another abject capitulation. I’m sure you remember his comments.
So what’s the problem?
Well I think Pool have been punching just a little above their weight, driven by Klopp’s brilliant man management and motivational leadership. You won the CL then the ELP and now you’re up against your own success tide-marks and without the frankly awesome Anfield crowd. It’s multifactorial.
The biggest problem I think is a lack of ruthlessness and the will to win and win and win, which coincidentally is also the problem at Stamford Bridge, but without the great culture and leadership at Anfield.
Draw tonight. Probably.
@divegeester saidWe depend too much on Henderson's presence in midfield both for his work rate and leadership. Milner is getting older, Fabinho has to cover as a defender as well.

For years Brazil dominated world football by giving full backs total freedom, often with both in advanced positions at the same time. The unsung heroes were the Dungas and Brancos and the like who worked so hard to cover the vacated positions. Hendo can do that and Fabinho was growing into the role well. We miss them in their proper roles as much as we miss the players they replaced. Liverpool without the full backs enjoying the same freedom are less formidable and less creative, but I think people love a drama and like to see a bigger problem. Salah's goal tally doesn't quite fit the story.
@relentless-red saidDid you just compare this Liverpool side to ... Brazil?

@divegeester saidJust the role of the full backs and the way the holding midfield role covers behind in wide areas.

It's very different football to the 70s and 80s Liverpool of my teens and twenties that won eleven titles and four European Cups in the space of twenty years. Perhaps we needed somebody to come and do it a different way instead of living in the shadow of that.
When you consider that City fell off the pace completely last season just through losing Laporte we have good reason to believe we'll be back when our absentees return.
Are you happy with Frank's sacking? Ruthless machine that can get rid of a club legend that quickly? Is that the way to be or does it lack soul?
@divegeester saidmy willie fell off shortly after my jab
I had my covid jab today and left the centre feeling absolutely fine.
However a little later as I walking down the high street one of my arms fell off, then a few minutes later the other arm fell off!
I wriggled into a store and called for help. Next thing I know I’m getting arrested for not wearing a mask!
Thanks Pfizer!
I'm having reattachment surgery next tuesday
@lemondrop saidWhy even bother?.....LOL....!

@relentless-red saidI don’t think it is appropriate to compare any part of this Liverpool team to the great Brazilian teams and in fact it is this hubris which led to the unilateral hatred of Manchester United.

No I’m not happy with the sacking of Lamps, but then I’m not happy with the leadership and culture at Chelsea per se, and haven’t been for years.
It lacks soul, yes.
