I didn't know darvlay except for seeing a few of his posts; but seeing the level of popularity he clearly had (and otherwise to be fair), and considering he was a long term subscriber, and an active member of rhp then I agree that an outright ban seems a little harsh just for holding two accounts, or even using abusive language or even a single incident of using a racist term.
However, if all this happened at once or on multiple occaisions, and IF it was leveled against another rhp member specifically, and IF that member made a point of complaining to the owners, then I would say a banning was inevitable imo. Perhaps that's what occured...

I don't know what the Clan name was. If it was a profanity, then the usual punishment for putting vulgarity in a clan name or user profile is a forum ban of some length. A poster who put racist terms (the N-bomb) in his profile was permanently banned. A permanent banning of a long term subscriber who was pretty active in the forums for an offensive clan name seems, again, a bit harsh.
So according to you Banning should be on who you are, length of membership, active in forums, and how well liked you might be....
Now to take that a step further perhaps there should be a list of who can do what be fore they are banned.
1. 'No One', Never ban him, no matter what he does, he is someone everyone gets a good laugh at...
2. Phlabs...Loyal Mod, and long time RHP member. Would pretty much have to go to the homes of TSM members and kill them off personally to be banned....
Do you get the point?
Like myself, you have no idea of the users history, and prior crimes of the TOS.

Russ & Chris know precisely what they're doing... and, quite frankly,
the executive summary and the details are none of our business.

After all, the loss of a useful member of the community diminishes the value of the community for all its members.

Unlike you, I'm pretty well aware of Darvlay's "crimes". Until recently, they were considered only serious enough to get him some forum bans. A multiple account, used only for a month several months ago and a profane Clan name don't seem to warrant a permanent banning based on prior incidents here.

Any where did you see me say I was happy the user was gone? If it was a TSM member you would be saying GOOD RIDDANCE as you have many times in the past. You your self are not angel, and I am in that same boat with you. We just haven't crossed that line, of no return.

Just say it.
Did YOU HEAR [b]ME?

I'm happy when cheats, blatant racists, really bad trolls and a few other categories get banned. Darvlay doesn't fit into any of them. It's not all about the TSM to me (though they certainly have their share of dicks including a Clan leader who is a total fraud). There doesn't seem to be a line of no return, at least one that can be ascertained based on prior experience here. That's kinda my point. Of course, the Site Admins can ban whoever they want, whenever they please but I wasn't aware we were prohibited from questioning their judgment call on such a matter. I'm sure it will be useless, but so are 99.99999999999999999999999999% of the posts here.
