Why did the Nazis allow a British bomber to deliver a very specific item to this captured flying ace? The man's resilience was extraordinary 😲

@divegeester saidWhy pink for a girl and blue for a boy?

The surprising history of "Blue for Boys, Pink for Girls". When do you think it became a concept?
It all started in the 19th century when pastel colors started becoming popularized for babies. The two colors were first chosen because of how they complimented hair and eye colors. Blue was meant to go with blue eyes and/or blonde hair, and pink for brown eyes and/or brown hair. Jun 25, 2018

There's an ancient Japanese pruning method from the 14th century that allows lumber production without cutting down trees called "daisugi" 🌳
In daisugi, the cedar tree is pruned heavily in a special way that it forms a giant bonsai that produces shoots of straight cedar branches growing upward.
This technique produces stronger and denser wood, and allows the branches to be harvested regularly without cutting down the tree.
A similar technique called 'Pollarding' is practiced in the UK.
