That's a very interesting case. Apparently, there are other witnesses. I think this is one case that needs to be investigated.

On the night of the incident, another group of hikers who were about 50 kilometres south, reported seeing strange orange spheres in the sky to their north.
From February to March of 1959, various witnesses reported these sightings, none of which were noted in the 1959 investigation.
In 1990, former police officer Lev Ivanov – who led the official inquest in 1959 – published an article in which he admitted the investigation team had no rational explanation for the incident.
He went on further to say that when his team had reported their own sightings of flying spheres, direct orders had been received from high-ranking officials demanding the claims be dismissed.
