Well, they've been nibbling away at the basic package since day one.
Now they're completing the privitisation and the basic package will be very basic indeed, yet cost more than what it costs now.
The dreaded "two-tier" public health system!
Ya, they always try that crap here too. Next thing you know there will be "weighted" votes depending on income, because if you earn more, you are better-looking, smarter and more deserving, and that goes triple for your children.

Well, get a better job so you can be in that Percentage that's earning 3xs as much.....you have to have a couple of ingredients, though, that I'm afraid you may be lacking......it's called ambition, or you could call it work-ethic...look them up in the dictionary. I'm not slamming you, Shav, but from reading your posts, that is the impression that comes to my mind...I could be wrong, and if so, I apologize.....
But...
I'm thinking about the single mothers, the unemployed and the people working on minimum wages here. Not everybody has my outlook on life or the freedoms I enjoy.
I already have to do a bum hurdle when I go to the train station, I don't want lepers, TB patients and children with broken limbs tugging at my jeans as I run by as well.
Trains...hahaha
Me running....hahahaha
But you get the point.

I thought you Euros were happy with your healthcare system.
It could actually help if people really start to eat healthy every now and then, have regular excersice, stop wining about high gas prices but still keep on using the care when need to go further than 1 kilometer and stop that filthy habit people call smoking.
I am not surprised the price goes up. I am surprised it hase not gone up years ago. The Dutch health care is one of the best in the world, but people still wine about it.

Don't all you Europeons sit around all day eating cheese and drinking whine?
😀
How many Scots can you imagine sitting out in the 6 degree heat, being blasted by arctic winds and soaked by freezing rain...sipping wine and eating cheese???
However, you are quite right about me. I do sit around drinking wine and eating cheese most of the time. Either that or I'm stoned and sit around sipping beer and eating chocolate.

I bet you are an Eagles fan too!

BTW, I am not picking a fight with Shav, but having a little fun at his expense.

what exactly is the cost that you are talking about ? The reason that I ask is because recently my partner had to take out a 2000 pound loan to pay the medical bills for her mother (a phillipino) who needed a operation plus some time in hospital to recover. It made me realise how lucky we are in the uk. 2000 pounds in peso's is a serious amount of money for the average pinoy, and would economically cripple them.
Originally posted by chancremechanicIt's half of what people earn!!!!!! Rich people should pay more...but not that much more. And what does it go towards? In England they just spent something like £5million on hospital art....not actual care of patients...ART!!!!! out of taxpayers money.
That's called Socialism, is it not? I hear that it is the best system out there....plenty of RHPers swear by it...am I wrong?
