I've been to plenty of gay bars. They are the best places to find find women, just gotta be careful to not get the one with the surprise in her/his pants.

What constitutes "real" experience? Have you gone cruising gay bars before with homosexual friends on the prowl?
It's a bit natural to think that the gay community does (in average) more drugs than straight people. After all, gay people have (apart from cognitive dissonant ones) already breached with conservative mindsets.
Between non-conservative straights and gays I don't see much of a difference myself, but that proves absolutely nothing.

I don't go to bars, gay or otherwise, and so I have no experience of gay people using drugs in higher numbers than straight people and asexual people. I do have experiences of GLBT people at a semi-monthly Catholic Mass primarily for GLBT people and their friends, as well as other venues. So no, it's only "a bit natural" for you perhaps.

So yes, I do have experiences of gay and straight people in both environments, as opposed to you who seems to have contact only with cognitive dissonant ones.
Overall, neither your experiences nor mine mean anything as they're both a fraction of the whole. But obviously anyone with a little self-criticism and intellectual coherence cannot be a conservative and defend (and be part of) a societal change at the same time. By the definition of conservative (which is not the same as Republican).
