Male, female and everything in between.
Well, if 'everything in between' varies then you cannot group them as one, or you can and I'm an idiot. ๐Ÿ˜•

So, would you say that intersexed people simply don't have a sex?

Maybe sex should be defined as a scale and not as a strict idea like male and female.
Much like sexuality is.
edit: you know, gay, straight, bi, bicurious, etc.
Everyone would be somewhere along the scale.

Well, in most cases the sex is rather unambiguous, so I think talking about male and female still makes sense, even though that leaves us with a less clearly defined group of people whose anatomy doesn't fit those categories. Gender is a different matter, that might be defined better as a scale.

Yes, I agree.

Some say it's more than three - "intersexed" is a pretty diverse group.

Ah, thanks. I didn't know that phrase.

Intersexed people have an atypical differentiation of the sexual organs which is neither clearly male or female. They may have a mixed or ambiguous anatomy, or they may not have sexual organs at all.

Yes, absolutely. I didn't know much about that myself until I met an intersexed person. Quite likely I have met more than one without knowing it, though. It used to be seen as unacceptable, so intersexed children got "normalized" as much as possible by surgical and hormonal treatment, often already as babies (some were never told). Now surgical or hormonal treatment often aren't applied until the person can consent to them, but I think most intersexed people still opt for male or female rather than identifying as intersexed, so unless you know them well, you'll never know about it.
