Dude he was joking.

Only a retarded person would have believed that.

I saw that guy, and he's no scientist. He's actually mole working for the USSA (United States Spy Agency).

He risks his LIFE to protect the secret. He obviously wants a FIGHT if he's calling ME a fool.

NASA just released the real first words the astronauts spoke when landing on the moon.

I wasn't calling you retarded. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I was saying that anyone honestly suggesting the Russians would mistake a balloon for a rocket going to the moon would be retarded and that Phlab was joking.

Phlab is clearly not that retarded.

Count up all the points you want, they still lost the game.
I will have to agree. Although the Russian achievements were great, getting someone to the moon and back safely is phenomenal.

As for these:

first man in space and orbit of course
first woman in space
first multiperson mission in space

They all mount to the same thing really. You might score points for equal opportunities (i.e. a woman in space), but it still is the same on a technological point of view. Once you have got someone to space, doing it again is considerably less difficult.

Let's not forget their other "firsts", Souz 1 and Soyuz 11, the first two spaceflight disasters which killed their crews.

As a professional pilot. It still amazes me to see there are people who believe we never been to the moon.

What's even more amazing is how vocal they are about it, you'd think that they'd want to keep that opinion to themselves for fear of being made fun of or thought crazy. I guess it's like the people who wear tin foil hats and claim black helicopters are circling their house, they're so out of touch they don't know how ridiculous they sound.
