@great-big-stees saidYou aren't buying his B.S. are you?.....You are correct about that one learning from even one, but most just keep repeating the same one over and over. I expect Suzie Q, or goad to answer that one, perhaps even rookie. 😉
One can learn from even one.

@great-big-stees saidOK, adding number 4. -->Stay off of horses. (I can do that one!)

@earl-of-trumps saidEarl,
This year I try a "let it flow" approach. No more studying openings (or anything chess)
from now on it's going to be all intuition moves in the opening. no brainer stuff
Just do it
You will have a lot more fun and you've established a pretty respectable rating for yourself, you aren't going to forget what you've learned up to date, providing you have no major medical issues, which I hope doesn't happen to you or anyone for that matter.
I am the one who should be doing the studying instead of playing in the forums, but at this stage of my life I just enjoy playing the game!

@very-rusty saidI should be studying too if it wasn't too late. Even my intuition is unreliable these days.

@great-big-stees saidIt's downhill now, Stees, but it can still be fun. 🙂
A minor setback, I'm sure.
