* IMO many today lead fragmented lives, because the accelerating tempo of external events keeps on pulling the pins of the grenades.
As a consequence of the uncertainty and insecurity, many daily lives are teetering off balance. Confidence and hope have become fragile.
Superficiality reigns. People demand 'bread and circus' diversions and have zero tolerance of any group (individual) that threatens them.

The thermostat is at 61 F at night and I was seriously sweating last night! Ugh! May have to turn it down to 51 F tonight!
