You've just reminded me why I've been so much happier on RHP for the last 6 months. It's because I haven't been in the spirituality forum wasting my time and getting wound up by arguing with retards. I do not intend to return to such days, so carry on spouting bull, I'm out.
You don't intend to return to such days, yet you were the one starting the argument with your 'what a load of tripe' comment.
You've just reminded me why I've been so much happier on RHP for the last 6 months.
An unexamined life is hardly worth living... but, if it makes you "happy," who am I to wake you from your slumber?
Sleep well.
The post that was quoted here has been removedMy volition, Tim, two events. First was god consciousness. My inaudible expression was one of interest: if you're up there, god, I want
to know you. Second was hearing salvation information (faith alone in Christ alone). Listened. Said yes, father, I believe in your son.
The post that was quoted here has been removedMy parents also believe in Christ. Though strict they were relaxed and respected our individual will. Structure of denominational affiliation(social opiates of membership, meaningless ritual without reality, feel good liturgical ceremony for its own sake) were unimportant to them, even less so to me. We attended an independent local church under the authority of one prepared pastor-teacher (whose job was to study and teach and did so several times each week, line upon line from the original languges of the Hebrew and Greek).
The post that was quoted here has been removedAll human beings are born flawed; experience god consciousness (age varies in pristine and developed cultures); and make decisions
determining their soul's address, with or separated from God, for all eternity. Country of birth presents no difficulty to the grace of God.
The post that was quoted here has been removedTim, environment has always been and still is a non-issue. Positive volition at the point of god consciousness obligates the omniscience and omnipotence of God to provide salvation information. Christian upbringing is no guarantee of heaven. It's individual. You're still hung up with a limited horizontal human viewpoint. Country of birth is also a red herring non-issue. One of God's attributes is perfect justice, which means He's fair. His immutability assures us that He always does the same thing. Almighty God is not some myopic imbecile who goes around judging people on outward appearances or country of birth. There is only one God, though many counterfeits, and no difference between UK, USA, Muslim or any other citizens on the face of the earth. All have the opportunity to accept God's free grace gift of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone. Some say 'yes' and get it right. Others for their own good reasons choose 'no'.
