@divegeester saidIt took me until this morning to figure out what you meant, since I don't have a flickr account. I thought "Morris" was a Morris the Cat reference.
I enjoyed much of the stuff on flickr, although several groups were a little naughty and I couldn’t get access without registering and signing in.
I should clarify that I am not Morris who posted the two Emperor Moth videos on YouTube.
Mistaken for someone else yet again,

@caesar-salad saidNot wishing to mistake you for a third time, but aren't you that chap from the Halifax adverts? (Howard I believe).

@caesar-salad saidHoward actually went on to be a bit of a celebrity, on the back of those adverts.

It was fun for a while.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidAt twilight the old house was musty,
Although there is no minimum word count, I think it unlikely that a really (really) short story would win the competition. (Possible, but unlikely). The main reason for this is that voters will usually recognize the time and effort an author has put into their entry. This probably wouldn't be the case if it was a poetry competition. (I actally prefer short poems if they are well written).
The caretaker looked sort of crusty
Superstition or was he a real phantom
And believe me it was no bantam
I cried out dear God its old Rusty.

@the-gravedigger saidReminds me of a hangout in Toronto's "Yorkville" district, in the 60s...Poet's Corner.

@divegeester saidYes, I suppose I do to some extent. I'll see if I can come up with some more red herrings later on. 😉

I saw that Morris has done some nice paintings, which I would not have seen without the flickr reference, so thank you for that. I drew and painted from teens through 20s, but haven't really done anything in that area for decades, despite having the supplies.
Superstitions are slowly dying
But the phantoms are still bye-bye-ing
So sorry to see that, though
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
The weather outside is frightful
But the twilight is so delightful
The lanterns are turned down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally say good-night
I'll become part of the storm
Waiting for absence of light
Just to show my ghastly form
Well my embers are slowly dying
And it's well past the time for crying
The phantoms know where to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

@caesar-salad saidSounds quite familiar....You borrow that from someone? 😉

@very-rusty saidI added the chorus (third verse) and tuned it up a little. Of course now this makes my "real" entries look stodgy and lackluster by comparison. Oh well.
