@neilarini saidAs I wrote I will set up a ballot and I will create a new thread for it. I suggest that we use the site's facility, which limits us to one vote. If you would wish that we can set up three ballots with "first choice", "second choice" and "third choice". Votes would be counted with a multiplicator of 5, 3 and 1 respectively.
So do we put forward our choice? 'Cause I'm sticking with murder mystery.
Would you rarher have one vote or three votes for the topic?
@ponderable saidTravel.
So the list as collected by Paul A. Roberts was:
1. Futuristic western
2. Alien invasion
3. Murder mystery
4. Romance
5. Hobnobs (Lemondrops concept)
6. Period drama with a twist
7. Mission to Mars
8. Conspiracy
I add (from my original intention):
9. a happy day
I now will let settle this and set up a poll if nobody makes a serious suggestion in the next few hours.
I am sorry about the amount of edits...
@ponderable saidWe have 16 votes now.

If we reach 20 I will count the ballots, regardless of the running time. (I intended to make that 24 hours, but messed up 🙁 )
@ponderable said17 votes...so you can still be a part of the process (ends latest in about a day)

@ponderable saidI am sincerely, doing my best to try.
@WOLFE63
I do hope that you make it this year 😉
Time constraints be damned.
Insecurities be slammed.
A prosaic muse, lest not to satisfy.
So I think we managed to circumvent the cliffs.
I announce herewith:
The RHP Prose contest 2021
Rules:
* We do a contest for original prose, written by RHP members. So please contribute only things you have written yourself. All material should be thought of as copyrighted and authors who wish will be attributed to their work. (Those who wish to be anonymous can get that also.
* Language is English.
* Length is no more than 1000 words (excluding the title).
* Topic is "Murder Mystery".
* You can send your entries either via (sometimes multiple) PM to me. Or you can send a file with a reasonable format (txt, rtf, doc, doc, odt, pdf (not secured) ) to Ponderable_Dickens@Yahoo.com. I will try to send receipts. Please contact me if I don't (it has happened that mails were in the SPAM).
* each author can send in up to three contributions. You can always change contributions, send edited versions, or pull back if you want to until I posted the stories.
* The competition ends in six weeks time: 8th of March 17:00 GMT.
* I will create a new thread with the stories, in which can be voted (three votes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd).
* If the story can't be posted on the Forum I will try to identify the reason and streamline accordingly (If you don't want this to happen try posting the story to see if it goes through yourself , don't forget to delete it immediately after the test.)
If something comes up, I will add to this set of rules.
@trev33 saidSo it won't show the preview.? ..I didn't know that.
The posting it yourself as a test, no need, just use the post preview.
@ponderable saidNo, just above post, if you tick the preview before post box it'll show you what your post will look like without actually posting it. It was handy for the chocolate bar competition.
So it won't show the preview.? ..I didn't know that.
@very-rusty saidI had one at 6:32 pm this evening. (Crunchie).
I can't recall when I last had a chocolate bar, gave them up many years ago!
