It should suffice to see their game history to establish a good case for sand bagging.
How does this tool work, what info is taken in, and what happens with the clan games or tourney?

I look at some users who have been called to 'sandbag' and sure... they MIGHT have won a banded tourney (can't really track clans much, can you?)

Anyway, I laugh when I see a 1900 player has won a 1300 rated tourney... it's not fair to those who SHOULD have won, but even funnier to my eyes is that 'trophy' they have for winning a tourney rated WELL BELOW their rating.

If there is a solution, I'm all ears. I've always said their should be ratings floors, but what is the formula for that? 100 points? 150? I've been rated near 1570, and played 1360 chess for half a year after a nice run. How do we decide?

Because I am sandbagger and I want to win 1000-1050 tournament. True, I will have to stay below my level for 100 days but that sweet victory will be worth it. That is exactly why I resigned my uncompleted games in 1550-1600 tournament which I was winning by the way, because I want to win on 1000-1050 tournament instead.

Well, temporarily lack of time for chess or other hobbies. Simple as that.

If you are sandbagging, you are sandbagging. Its not against site rules so no one can say you have broken a rule but people are wondering how you post so much in forum and have no time to move in your game. Is funny, no? Its sandbagging .....

Please, don't crucifixe me 😲 I am not that bad guy. I like good cup of tea, trees and I am trying to save a planet by recycling paper and cans ! I also like to listen to the music and in my heart there is enough place for all trollz®, I also hardly resist to feed them 😀

Lets say that I got my membership right off the bat...played a few other 1200 players...got a 1300 rating established and then played in a 1300-1350 tourney

Now I know I would win it and it wouldn't be fair to the other players

So really sandbagging comes down to ethics.

Is winning a tourney that is beneath your level that important to you?

If it is...you need to consider why you play chess at all
