They could always set up a Communist society.....no taxes. Actually the don't want to live on the land they only want the US to pay them for what was their land. Doing the same thing in NY state.

on what grounds? (excuse the pun). as far as i know, there's no legal or widely-accepted moral principle that confers rights on the descendants of those wronged.

if they renounce u.s. citizenship to qualify they should then be deported back to their ancestral lands ( mongolia )..after all..they stopped in south dakota at some point from somewhere else..just like the europeans who became americans..or maybe they should be deported back to mother africa where it is believed most humans started from..yeah..back to kenya

No1marauder once suggested that tort law is appropriate for the descendents of slaves (for reparations). I imagine he knows what he's talking about.
