Not much you can do, other than kill them, I guess.

It's the bloodlust I can do without.

You drive them out of town, silly. You don't just put them outside and tell them to stay.

Do you remember that movie, "Ben?"

Ok. I have felt bad when I've had to trap them in the past. They are cute, but I don't want them nesting in my house. Relentless buggers. I do tend to ignore them if I know they've been in the garage.

Not true. You just have to dump them further away.

Or set them on fire?!

Hello?! Is this thing working?!

In all seriousness, this all won't work - releasing them in the next county, trapping them with back breakers, burning them even. The neighbouring mice will see the niche once it's vacant, and exploit it.

They're there for a reason, address the cause, not the effect.

I only had one mouse that I needed to take care off. I caught him using this:

It took the mouse around 20 minutes to fall for it. I walked to the nearest park and dumped him there. Never saw him again, so I guess IT WORKED!~

That's actually a pretty cool idea.

I used the ramp variant, with a mop bucket instead of the trash can. It was amazing how fast it worked. 🙂

Edit - Just make sure the bucket is tall. Those suckers can jump!

Is that true??

Setting these traps is really tricky. Some of them are just too sensitive to set on the ground.

If I grind up razor blades and put it on some peanut butter, you think it'll work?

I'm willing to try.

Kinda sucks I won't see my handywork though......I want to be certain it works

Leave the razor intact. When they lick the pb they will lop off their own toungs and choke on their own blood.

That's a very humane thing to do there, but where I live their friends come to take their place. ALWAYS, even when you kill them, there is another mouse (or two!) to replace them within weeks. I always feel bad when I see their lifeless little furry bodies in the trap, but it must be done. 🙂

Yes, I guess it's easier in the cities.
