Have you been to our “History” room? We have many of “man’s” first attempts at a vast variety of, not only food and drink but some interesting “objects” too.👍
This place is just wonderful - The Tavern never ceases to surprise us. I love it. 😍

My Uncle had a horse and buggy and use to take it to church every Sunday. He would drop into our place and take us kids for a little ride which was a lot of fun.

Yes, and it's nice and bright and shiny, now

Actually Northern Nova Scotia. I grew up in the country about 20 miles from the nearest town, but we had two stores about maybe a half mile from us where we would go as kids when things were dirt cheap. You could get a lot of 25 cents. 🙂

We have a room that might be to your liking. Go down the Green hallway and knock on the third door on your left. Tell them to let you in. I expect a report, in triplicate.👍
I'll admit I did get lost in The Tavern for a while before I found the Green Hallway, but before I issue my report I would just like to express my appreciation for your bringing back to mind "forms in triplicate".

I remember that one of the colors was usually called goldenrod. Could you remind me of the color of the other underlying layer?

The colors of triplicate forms aside, I did follow @torunn's advice to knock three times (I am just now getting what might have been a Tony Orlando and Dawn reference), but eventually dared to open the door myself.

TBQF, I expected I might find something disagreeable, like a portal into a TED talk, but instead it was just a room full of porcelain dolls.

Thank goodness I am generally not creeped out by them, but when the one sitting at the upright piano swiveled her head around and then flew across the room to give me a bite on the neck with her little doll-jaw, I must say that did take me by surprise.

Afterwards, as we shared a doobie and conversed in the tangential way that doobie-doers do, out of the blue she said something like: "In this life we should make some kind of effort in whatever direction, because sprouts should sprout."

Which I found to be congruent with and perhaps a corollary to: "Subsidence is easy."

Thank you Kevin, I'm happy to note you were treated so gently. There is a reason for the three-knock approach - or many - and one is to test our visitors' patience. That particular room is something like Pandora's box or, for that matter, a box of chocolate, 'you never know what you're gonna get'. So pleased to see you again.

The three knock idea was so those inside would think it might be Sheldon and thus allow you in to pontificate on your mental acuity. Now as for the last copy, I believe it was “pinkish”.🤔

Edit: this response was meant to be directed at the person responding before torunn.😲🤭😢

I noticed that, and do you agree with me about Pandora's box? I believe we have had guests going in there and not seen since... 🙂

Well those who did open that “door”, I guess, got what they deserved. As I have a tee off time in about an hour’s time can I ask, I know it’s short notice but with all the goings on in here I forgot about the time, you to “hold down the fort” for a few hours…please?🤞
