@petewxyz saidHis intention was to bad-mouth liberals.
I also know that @Earl-of-Trumps is 100% behind BLM as well as yourself and his intention was humour so I should be careful. It is a sensitive time to raise the issue of unnecessarily crying racism, but I should also apologise completely if it looked like I was saying anything more than that in my earlier post.

@handyandy saidAnd to kick someone out of America who is actually already in England and probably wouldn't be allowed into the states anyway seeing as she isn't long out of prison. Not the sharpest tool in the box that's for sure.

@petewxyz saidBLM has very good intentions, genuine.

I have no problem with people that seek true justice. All afros want is acceptance.
This is hard? Unfortunately, yes.
@moonbus saidYa think they will go for Michael Jordon on Air Nike?

Update on Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben. The times they are a'changin'.
Hey, ya never know with these folks.
@trev33 saidWell, on that subject, I did try to go black once but she thought it would be too constroversial. Or maybe that was her polite way of saying "buzz off." I did date a cute little Vietnamese girl once. I don't regret that. And, my lovely wife is dark-skinned Mexican.

You progs have a lot of work to do. Pheeeew.
@tom-wolsey saidThe Vietnamese are lovely, spent a month there a few years back and yes, very beautiful as well. Anyone going to Asia to meet someone I’d always recommend Vietnam, shame their food isn’t as good as most of east Asia though.

Haven’t met many Mexicans but used to live in Peru with a Peruvian girl, dated a Colombian women after that didn’t work, I’m sure they’re quite similar to Mexicans, friendly, big into family which are usually quite large. Lovely culture and great food.

I can live with schools and military bases being renamed, and "racist" product labels being expunged. What bothers me is there is a consorted effort in academia to minimize or outright erase uncomfortable parts of our history. A Biden election will exponentially increase all of this.
Some are saying this country is headed toward civil war.
What we need--I don't even care which side of the political aisle--is a common sense charismatic that can bring us together.

@tom-wolsey saidI am not in favour of so sanitizing everything that we forget how racist and sexist we once were, and to whatever extent still are. I can understand the urgent need for removing certain statues from public places and changing certain logos on packaging; these things belong in museums after that, not in furnaces. The n* word was once common parlance and it is right and good that decent people now don't use it and wince when they hear it used. However, I am not in favour of expunging the n* word from historical records and texts, such as Huck Finn -- if we start rewriting history, we loose history altogether. If we loose history, then we don't have any yardstick any more to see where we were, are, or how far we have yet to go, to attain any sort of correction to social injustices. Those who would rewrite history in pursuit of a currently fashionable cause will find that, in a fifty years, or maybe only ten, their version of history will also have been rewritten. That, as you say, is not a slippery slope, but a cliff -- at the bottom of which is a pit where there is no longer any such thing as objective truth, only a murky soup of crashed fashions.
