@mike69 saidIt evens itself out believe it or not after 17 years I KNOW it does.
Creating false ratings?
If my opponent is going to drag out the moves when his Clan has already lost and I am the only one left, I'll resign every time so another Clan Challenge can be started.
If we just had a clan rating they wouldn't be so apt to drag the game out, knowing that I will resign lowering my rating. Many people do it, I don't know why you haven't noticed up to this point. Perhaps if I hadn't mentioned it you still wouldn't know? There is no rule saying you have to play out the game after a challenge has been won.

@mike69 saidCall it what you want....There are clans who do it when they are going to lose to an opponent they slow their moves down. I call it Cheeting, but again no rule against moving slow either. The argument is the time was agreed to when the challenge started.
So a loophole?

@very-rusty said I call it heating, but again no rule against moving slow either.If there is no rule against it, then on what basis do you “call it cheeting”.
@divegeester saidIf you slow down your moves because my Clan has won to stop us from starting another Challenge then that is cheeting. I will resign my games everytime. What would you do play on? Thanks on the help with the spelling the other way it gets alerted.

@very-rusty saidAs you said “their is no rule against it”, so by definition, it cannot be “cheeting”.

@divegeester saidWould you accept unsportsmanlike?
As you said “their is no rule against it”, so by definition, it cannot be “cheeting”.

@very-rusty saidNo, because players taking a longer time to move are operating within the game rules, moving with the agreed game time limits.
Would you accept unsportsmanlike?
@divegeester saidMoving slow when you've lost a challenge is not sportsmanship if nothing else. Your have already lost so who you playing for? All you are doing is stopping another clan from starting another challenge is all. It isn't a personal rating it is a clan rating, you are playing for everyone else in the clan not just yourself. I am not talking about YOU personally as you don't play enough games.
No, because players taking a longer time to move are operating within the game rules, moving with the agreed game time limits.

@very-rusty saidIt’s not against the rules of chess and is being played within the accepted terms of the particular challenge.

So I don’t understand what it is you are bleating about.
@divegeester saidIt doesn't surprise me you don't understand. You don't play enough chess for it to make any sense to you. Ask your Clan Leader. 😛 🙂

According to your rating, you're still learning how to move the pieces. 🙂
