I personally like arranging objects to resemble a straight line or a smooth curve (particularly exponential preferred) when practically possible, but I guess this is just my mind playing on me rather than OCD.. but not sure myself to be honest.

Are you concerned about physically harming a loved one, pushing a stranger in front of a bus, steering your car into oncoming traffic; inappropriate sexual contact; or poisoning dinner guests?
LMFAO

Okay. *breaking down and admitting the truth* I have this thing about cleanliness. I wash my hands ALL the time. 😳
I tend to be the same way about my kitchen as well. I HATE having dirty dishes in the sink. I like to keep it spotless. People tend to be shocked at the extent that I go to when I start cleaning the kitchen!
Currently I'm losing my mind....on an extended business trip in Malaysia...and the kitchen sink isn't even plumbed for hot water!!!! :'(

Maybe that's a different test.
A different...pathology.

(0 indicates no OCD tendencies, while 20 indicates maximum OCD tendencies.)
You scored 2 out of 20 in Part B.

Based on your score on the screening device, it would appear that you probably do not have OCD."
That doesn't really surprise me. However, I found the perfectionism test somewhat surprising. I do think I have perfectionist tendencies (although much less now than when I was a child), but most of the questions just don't fit at all. Apparently my reasons for being perfectionistic aren't typical for perfectionists (much like the reasons for some OCD-like behaviours I have aren't typical for people with OCD).

Originally posted by NordlysI also found that perfectionism test quite irritating in some parts when repeatedly being asked about "parents' high expectations" as if that's the major significant reason. This test may demonstrate a typical piece of shrinks' work, blaming bad parenting. We shouldn't ignore parental influences on the ways in which children behave and grow up though of course....

I would rather like to see perfectionism as a personality trait emerged as necessity in our gene pools. Surely perfectionists do good jobs?
