Shame on you! But we forgive you 🙂
No seriously, you need to read the books, unfortunately your view will be hampered by watching the films which is unfortunate. However if you are lucky enough to enjoy the books you will then understand what the films were all about. There is a plethera of scenes and characters cut from the films which fill the book ...[text shortened]... Watchmen, which would rock as long as it wasn't done in a super-hero special effects kinda way.
Arkham Asylum and The Watchmen would be very interesting movies if done right. I don't know if I could get into either Lurman or Robbins directing though, especially DK. For me, what I've always enjoyed about DK was its gritty nature stripped down of all the eye candy of the previous movies by Burton and Schumacher (can't stand Schumacher). I think that's what was great about the Watchmen, DK etc is the "human" element. I've always casted in my head Clint Eastwood but he is waaayyyy too old now. I could definitely see Bruce Willis as the older Bruce Wayne/Batman and I think Crispin Glover would make a brilliant Joker. Oh well, it will probably never happen but one can dream, right?
