Ahhh I feel so much better now... good enough to sleep well anyway 😉 Goodnight kisses to everyone who said they love me 😀
And guys-keep going please, so I can start my day with something positive when I wake up tomorrow and of course check the forums immediately after getting up 😀
Sleep tight (And as a special bonus: Since I'm feeling generous-if it ...[text shortened]... ten by katty... but I don't know what to do about it! ... Sleep wouldn't be such a bad idea 😀

ouch ouch ouch.
If it weren't so personal some of those stories would be funny.
I feel your pain though 😕
She nailed it.
I only stayed single a year... and a Damn good year it was lol
Interesting though...
The only time I was dumped, was after a 7 year relationship but I was like, it doesn't matter. She did it in an adult way though (not in an adult film way like Shaviximir's missus - sorry man).
I was thinking about how we react to the news. For the first week I was thinking to myself it doesn't matter, I didn't like her anyway etc.
Beginning of week 2 I show up at her place of work spraying the office indiscriminately from an automatic weapon.
Life is a peculiar and ever-changing thing.
Hmm, there seems to be a pattern here.
Some women are intelligent, honest and kind. But a lot are just the opposite.
Exactly the same goes for men.
When it comes to potential partners, men are often exceptionally bad at telling the nice people apart from the nasty people. Their judgement is clouded by said potential partners' other assets, and besides, they might think a cruel streak is sexy.
Women are also prone to this, for the same reasons.
The result? Lots of nice people are left abandoned and unloved, while lots more otherwise sensible people plump for 'exciting' wife-beaters, gold-diggers, posers, airheads and complete ****s. You could even say that most of humanity's problems stem from our problems in picking partners, as sexual selection has caused genes which encourage selfishness and aggression to flourish. Over time, 'nice guys finish last' means there are no nice guys at all.
🙁

My hihg school girlfriend. We started going out as sophomores. Our senior year she was in a play, Jesus Christ Superstar. Right before we were to leave for college, I was going to ask her to become engaged. Took her to a fancy restaurant, the whole bit. Right before I am about to ask, she tells me she has met someone else.
I'm devistated. I ask who.
The guy who played Jesus in her play.
So I lost my girl to the Son of God! (g)
But, then I went to college, joined a fraternity, had many wild times until my senior year, where I met my wife, who I have been with now for 17 years.
The girl, you ask? Last I heard, she has three kids from three different guys and still lives with her parents. The words "dodge" and "bullet" come to mind.
I was stirred by Shaviximir's post and others to remember these lines from Burns.
Fickle Fortune
Tho' fickle fortune has deceived me
(She promis'd fair and perform'd but ill)
Of mistress, friends and wealth bereav'd me
Yet I bear a heart shall support me still.
I'll act with prudence as far as I'm able
But if success I must never find
Then come misfortune - I bid thee welcome
I'll meet thee with an undaunted mind.
Hope that helps you through the rougher times, it does for me.
