No, all my cookies, settings, etc. were transferred over to Firefox from IE when I made the switch.
Mine too.

If he's not using IE, the cookies from when he was will have no effect on firefox, they have to be re-done, same for any browser, they dont get transferred nor do they cause any conflict. I know this for a fact from what I experienced when I swapped over.
You must have been lucky.

I had this problem as have a lot of other people. If you search hard enough, you'll find this problem posted a number of times in the past in these forums, and the solution has always been the same.

Very strange.
Normally you would have to import them [via File] to FF or Opera, or revisit and login to all the sites you want cookies from.

i haven't read the thread fully as i have not much time, so, i shall be breif. firefox kicks IE's butt! (unless you are using a mac, where they are pretty much the same, but that's irrelephant.) firefox lets you have numerous pages open in the one window ("tabular browsing" or something), there are less viruses, less toolbars are stuck on it against your will, less spyware etc.

and it's open sourse, so if you can program all is good!

also, ditch outlook express for thunderbird while you are at it, won't you? thanks 🙂

i'm enjoying firefox except that my cursor flashes too far to the left so that it obscures the letter i just typed.

no-one else seems to have this problem, though.

I have, and the web developer plug-in just goes from strength to strength. (Or I just discovered goodies I never knew existed previously.)

Either way, its developer just got a donation from me for making my life a whole lot easier.

I use it exclusively and I love the tabs - but it's a major memory hog. I always leave my machine on. Is there any way of clearing RAM without having to reboot?

Does clearing your cache every once in a while help?

I downloaded 1.5 today and I'm using RHP with no problems on Firefox right now. I'm glad to have it back.
