Hotmail has always worked fine for me and I've been using Firefox for over 2 years. Maybe it's the settings on your pc that's the problem π
Thunderbird does not allow the user to download messages from http mail servers. OE does. I can read my hotmail via OE without needing to login via the browser interface. I would like it if Thunderbird did the same, as then I would use it.
Edit: Gah! - you just edited that 'and Thunderbird' in there! I've just checked and it still only accepts POP and IMAP accounts though.

You're right, I'm wrong - it doesn't work with Hotmail
Without a doubt, Firefox is the mutts nutts.
I'm not a huge fan of Thunderbird and don't use it. Yet.
If there is anything you dislike about the internet, post your pet hate here, and I bet firefox has a solution. I hated black background, white writing sites, and now with Firefox I never have to see those sites that way anymore.

I liked Firefox until it started to open multiple instances of itself. (The task manager would show it running three times)
A friend had a similar problem but said that the new version is better.
The thing is, the old version was fine for months, then went weird.
And no, there were no viruses or spyware causing it.
Also, new windows don't give back all the memory they use when they are closed. (At least in the old version)
So ... I use IE with the Google toolbar and have pop-up blocking and spellcheck.

I've got cramp of the arm and I'm going blind already... my life is complete!
