When in the middle of the game they go: "Just resign, I'm already +2.11 over you"
Only X moves after do they realize this and drop the evaluation to 0.00.
Common examples are Opposite colored bishop endings with several pawns still on the board Or locked positions.
But +4 and over is deadly 🙂 Then it's resignation time.

And then there's those positions where it shows +1.03 when you click "infinite analysis" but ends up -2.35 after 30 minutes of calculations
What kind of time do you have on your hands 😉
I've seen some which it's way off but. Often with some sacrifices.
It's hard teaching the engine after you discover that line but the new ones pick up on it reasonably.
Like Fritz 6 might think the best move is X and then you play Y and it's clearly the best move and then you back up the line and Fritz 6 still thinks X is better then Y.
Although with the new engines, after awhile it will eventually remember that Y is better then X.
Originally posted by KorchOf all the cases of players being thrown off the site for allegedly cheating, this one (i.e. Blackbuck) makes me feel the most uncomfortable. I'm fairly sure that in the many games (some unfinished) I played against him, I was playing against a human being, not an engine. (I can usually tell.) If he didn't use an engine against me, why should he against other players? Maybe the games moderators are becoming a little overzealous?
He was player which seemed out of suspect. He did not claim himself like Jean Herbert did, but in chat during the game we have shown that he is understanding chess not so bad as many other cheaters (who does not resign even in absolute hopeless positions).
We are usually accused of not being zealous enough.
Not all suspects are blatant, some will attempt to disguise their activity, and I'm sure there are many who do so successfully.
We apply a statistical methodology over many, many games that can often highlight patterns of engine abuse that are less than obvious.
Where there is any shadow of doubt, it is for the benefit of the suspect.
Once a determination has been made, the evidence is presented to the site admins to make a final decision. It is not in their interest to be over-zealous, or to condone over-zealousness in the game mod team.
No-one is banned without overwhelming evidence. No-one is banned where doubt exists.

RedHotPawn.com Admin.
They didn't tell me, where (in which games) I should have broken the rules by using an engine, I have no chance to defend myself, feeling a little bit like in a chess Guantanamo.
I want you to know that I did not use engines during the games, but did my post-mortem-analysis for three years with Fritz 8, maybe this fact did influence my way of playing in a direction how engines may play, I don't know. Thank you for defending me in the thread "cheaters" in "Only Chess".
Northern Lad, you are right, my opening play is not very good, but I never was interested in studying opening theory and I told some of my opponents, that I use a huge database with more than 3 Million games in the opening. 30 years ago people were using te ECO or the Pachmann or the Schwarz or other openings books, so I did not feel as a cheater.
I want to thank you for the interesting games we had and I am sorry for my clanmates from DUNE, suffering from all my forfeits in the clan-leagues. I tried to be a fair and polite opponent to the players I met over the board and I wish all of you good luck with your games.
Bye Bye,
your chessfriend BlackBuck
