This move is active, gives us more space and forces CM to prove its intentions. Furthermore, it gives us the initiative, we are dictating where the game will go.
I vote Na5.

Is it all worth 2 pawns?
Originally posted by blindcheesecakeI like Qd5. White wasted some tempo's with his queen and we have to get our rooks connected.

Qd5 Qxd5 or else the f5 pawn drops and Black has ideas such as Ne5, Nd3, then Bxd5. We can plan stuff like Ne5, Nd3 later on, great square for the knight.
Other than that, Bd5 although i'm not sure what the bishop is doing here.
There's also Ne7 Qxa7 Nxf5, but the knight can't get to d3 so easily then.
Na5 Qxa7 Nb3 Bxb3 Bxb3 I just don't see it. 2 pawns down for what?

Qd5 left black in a desperate position.
IMHO Na5 is the only playable move.
With a little more time I could justify my opinion.
then, my vote is Na5.

This is the line I gave:
Na5 Qxa7 Nb3 Bxb3 Bxb3 I just don't see it. 2 pawns down for what?
Na5 Qxa7 we are down 2 pawns now, What is blacks best move here?
Where is the knight going? He's useful on c6 and can get to e5 and d3 potentially on a5 he's future is bleak and if Nb3 then the line I gave above leaves us down 2 pawns for what?
Originally posted by RahimKI had planned to play 16..Bd5 here but agree it actually looks passive so the much more dynamic move folk are suggesting i.e. 16..Na5!? looks a lot more active discovering the attack on the queen and actually putting a lot of pressure on the very weak c1 bishop and looks very strong actually so if then 17. Qxa7 Nb3 18. Bxb3 Bxb3 black is in trouble but this is not the best line for black I think of course he can just take the bishop on prise on e6 i.e. 18. fxe6 all over or actually just 18. Bxb3 so the best line after 16..Na5!? 17. Qxa7 then 17..Bb3!? (if 18. Bxb3? Nxb3 19. Qxb7? Nxa1 or if 18. Qd4 Bxd1 19. Rxd1 Nb3 and we have the exchange for two pawns). I vote 16..Na5 too 😀

What happens after 16..Na5 17. Qxa7 Bb3 18. Be2 or Bg4? 😛

Ya your right, the line I gave I forgot about the bishop on e6 although their is Nb3 fxe6 Nxc1 winning back the piece but ya it's not good.
After the line you gave, Be2 or Bg4, We got a bad knight stuck on the side. Can't see anything else or an we are down by yet another pawn.

It looks like Na5 wins by one vote.

17...Bc4 18.Re1 Bd3
Say 19.Be2?! Rc4! 20.Qb5 Rxc1 21.Bxd3 Rxe1+ 22.Rxe1 Qxd3 23.Qxa5 Rc8 =
I still don't like that knight on a5 🙁
There's also 17...Rc4?! very interesting but after chasing around the white queen I don't see anything great coming out of it and the silly knight is still stuck on the rim 🙁

17..Bc4 18. Rf4 (18. Re1 doesnt do much whereas the text move threatens a pawn) 18..Qd5 maybe is best then 19. d4 ed e.p. 20. Bd2 b6 21. f6 g6.
