I do however own the Informant database package and it supplies me with all I need...well as well as Chessopolis.com

After hearing all of this stuff one of ...[text shortened]... f I relied on Chessmaster 5000 I don't think I would EVER have done very good here.

A "National Master" who doesn't have any clue as to how engines work? Interesting.

Moves from a database are not considered when calculating the number of matches with an engine(s). And any strong (or even not so strong) player realizes that the number of possible games of chess are incalculable after a very few moves and that neither Fritz or any other engine could work like your "friend" supposedly told you.

Go peddle your papers somewhere else.

I know the old ones only worked on strength of move what i was saying was what is the difference from the Informator database taking set position and finding a game that is like it as opposed to whatever Fritz does.

It was I think a very good question and the nice people on here answered it for me.

Yes it was a silly personal attack, much as your latest retorts are also silly, irrelevant and totally beyond comprehension. And Logic is your enemy, you are not being rational in any sense of the word. Your sensationalist accusations and illogical conclusions are annoying and childish. There was a good reason why your post was removed, it didn't make a lick of sense, just like the rest of your vapid commentary. Take it up with the mods my man.

BTW, earlier in this thread you claimed that Cludi was a 2100+ OTB player. I've taken the liberty to look through the ratings list of the Danish Chess Federation and can find only one Claus Jensen; he is no. 169 here http://www.dsu.dk/index.php?id=41&Type=1&hk=2 with a 1650 rating...However, I thought I'd set the record straight.
Bingo. We have a winner.

Well, I've been relatively quiet on this subject (compared to my usual self at least) and I have to say that this whole situation has created the biggest mess I've seen at RHP since I joined, probably almost comparable to the first bannings with ironman31.

It is sad and takes away from the fun and enjoyment this place was designed to promote.

I was gone during the whole ironman thing...but I heard that was a fiasco too.

No.269 wants to challenge that.

Edit: Sorry, way more down. No.293, not 269.

Not quite.
Apparently it's quite possible to play as a below average club player OTB but a FIDE Master on CC.

But he isn't really trying to convince anyone that he is innocent in his blog, he's just bitching about other players!

It's quite easy to avoid the relevant threads: just don't click on them!

You mean engine users are sad and take away from the fun and enjoyment this place was designed to promote.

Granted, this incident is a fiasco.

But you heard wrong. The Ironman31 banning may have been a massive shock for engine users at RHP, but it was a huge victory for fair and honest play.

Since you all agree that my posting are childish, logic is my enemy and{add what ever you like} lets have a look at the facts then. (Correct me if I'm wrong):

- It has not been proven that Cludi is an engine user (even though someone claims it)

- The game mods were dismissed before a conclusion regarding the Cludi could be reached.

- When the Game Mods were dismissed NOONE knew what was going to happen - maybe a new team were already ready, maybe the job had been outsourced - NOONE knew, not You, not me, not Cludi and not DT.

- Rumors were then started in the forums - small remarks were being dropped

- PM's claiming that it had been proven !!! that Cludi was an engine user were being sent

How you can justify behaving like that is beond my comprehension. To me You just take for granted what someone is telling you without dealing with the "evidence" at hand.

So if you ask me logic is YOUR enemy. Because You have not seen any evidence that without any doubt shows that Cludi is an engine user - nevertheless you are convinced that he is !!! Why is that ?

You are absolutely right,

a well rspected member of the community has been driven from this site without a final judgement call simply by hearsay and denunciation.

From members who want to make the gamemod team a certain sense for justice should be present.

I'll repeat what I said back on page 8:

The conclusions I have drawn are: 1) That Dave Tebb was justified in making an issue of this after the Site Admins scrapped the Game Mods prior to a decision being made in Cludi's case; 2) That Dave's motivation to do so had nothing whatsoever to do with the 2007 Championship; and 3) That if Cludi really believes in his own innocence, he should await the decision of the Game Mods when they are reconstituted. I have not, repeat not, drawn the conclusion that Cludi is beyond a reasonable doubt an engine cheat

The users here have a right to know what is being done about engine use and to pressure the admins to do SOMETHING if they appear to be doing nothing. We don't, and shouldn't, have to wait ad infinitum.

He drove himself from the site and deserves no pity, though he seems to want some.
