Hey, all I asked is for you to back up your claims. You've only played 12 games at Playchess, therefore the rating isn't official yet.
Let him play 50-100 games and then he can make his boasts again.

There's people asking about improving all the time so unless you have something better to offer them ....
if you like, make a real information packet and post it as a new thread. put some work into it instead of just spitting out a couple of trivial remarks. these two threads are just drivel, and the 'content' could've been easily written as a two-line summary when someone asked for it. nothing to warrant the continuous bumping.
while I'm at it, I wish rahim would do the same with his "need help getting to..." threads. gather the content into one new thread, without all the needless baggage. meaning that the advice should be on post 1, in a clear and concise form. trim the fat out. -then put a link to that thread into your profile, so it'll be easily accessed and everybody knew where it was.
and DF could also do a meta thread of his endgame tutorials, and put a link to his profile. those were pretty damn informative. I'd be bumping them up all the time, but I don't want to clutter the frontpage.
but we can't all keep bumping our pet threads. there's no room for it.

Root through the Only Chess forum archive, and you'll find quite a few tutorial/annotation threads that I wrote, including this one...Thread 32573
I wouldn't dream of thinking that what I'd written was so important that it needed to be a sticky thread. And my threads don't even include pages of bashing other players.

I've just seen some of the rankings of players here on ICC and while ICC is not as good as PlayChess you would expect players here of about 1800 to reach at least 2000 on ICC. This goes to show that those databases and opening books are harming your chess!
Some dudes really need to follow the tips in this thread.

Mikhail Tal won first unofficial blitz championshipin 1988 overplaying top GMs. But in classical time control he definetly was not the best then.
Also have you heard about Genrikh Chepukaitis? He had no international title and in classical time control he played in level of national master, but in blitz he was very strong - he played blitz against GMs as equal.
