If we choose to go 20. Ne4, we'd have something like this play out.

20. Ne4 Nd7
21. Rxd5 c3
22. Rxd7+ Kxd7
23. Qh4 cxb2
24. Kxb2 Qxg6
25. Qe7+ Kg8
26. Rg5 Qxg5
27. Qxg5 + ... and from there it's game, in a few moves.

If 20. Be2, as an alternative, perhaps faster mate.

20. Be2 Qf8
21. Rdh1 Nd7
22. Nxd5 Nf6
23. Rxg7+ Qxg7
24. Nxf6+ Kf8
25. Qc5+ ... and it's mate from there.

Either way black has no outs here

20. Ne4 Nd7 21. Nd6. Now black queen has few squares to go to. 21. ... Qf8 looks bad because of 22. Nf7 23. Nh6. On other squares white captures the queen. If 21. ... Bf6 then simply 22. Qh6. Black is dead meat here.

Perhaps black's only choice is 20) ..., dxe4 21) Rd8, Bd7 22) Rxe8, Rxe8.
The white options to checkmate his opponent are slim (too few white pieces left on the board), but I think white has a better endgame.

Simple tactic...Bxc4.

Have to look but i think there is a position like this in either a Chernez or a Vuckovic book.

yeah I agree..Bxc4. White has lots of threats. 21...dxc4 22. Rxd7! or another trhead 22. Rh1!

I had to set up on my big board...after dxc4 Rh1 and black can go ahead and resign.

Went through the game a few times...wish i had been not playing in the other forums for some of the other moves.

Fun game though.

21. ... dxe4 and then what? I still stick to my previous idea - 21. Nd6 Qf8 22. Nf7 and black is pretty bad.
