Do we actually get an answer to this? The poster has been on and moved and all and hasn't told us what we're missing. 🙁

lol it apears I forgot to put that rook on the board when I did my analysis.
Although the game looks relatively equal after the queens are off the board

In that position I played 1. Rb7. What did I miss? I really am playing like a grandmother you know.
Rh8+ .. Kxh8
Qxf6+ .. Kh7 or kg8. If ..Kh7, Rb7+ and mate soon. If Kg8, Qxd8+ and the b rook will soon get to the 7th rank for a similar mate.

It appears the d rook cant be taken because it is being protected by the lousy bishop

I suggested Nh4 before Re3 because you have the threat of Ng6 after Qh6+ which forces Black to spend a move defending... just seems more useful, might as well have three pieces attacking.

This is a practical quiz not one where people are spoon-fed. If you are used to moving the pieces about, don't touch them but calculate the variations in your head.

Actually, I did do them all in my head as this site is essentially practice for OTB play for me now. So no worries about moving the pieces mate. And how is spoon-feeding involved? About 5 people have suggested answers which you have ignored. 😕
