I did say it would make the whole process difficult, not impossible. Imagine switching between the two constantly for a large number of games.
I don't have a chess program, but I guess that one can get a given position of a game by pasting the FEN in. Right?
If so, it is just copy FEN, log out, open chess program, past FEN, program looks for move, log in at RHP, play suggested move. Sounds boring, but playing hundreds of games with engine moves is boring anyway.

My understanding is that it's trivial (and even recommended) for players to track their games using their own database system. I've been considering setting this up myself as I'm always forgetting what I meant to do next and could really use a better way to track possible variations than the RHP notes feature. If they use a system like that, you can't even make it inconvenient for an engine user.
I really don't think there's any way for RHP to really prevent cheating. The best they could do is set the technological bar a little higher, but that can't be the primary line of defense. In the end, you still need to look for cheaters and take appropriate action.
Mods...please let ET speak and get the real issue out in the open. What will it take to get some kind of decisive action? Address it, make a public call one way or the other and we can all move on...or out.

Was cludi offering to rid the site of engine users?
If so, why did Russ remove him as a Game Mod?
Edit - My bad. I've now seen the original posts on the previous page. Although some of English Tal's posts seem to have been modded.

I'd expect a lower-end rating limit - perhaps 1800 or above for both players. Since the majority of players on this site are well below this level, their opinions are better not canvassed. A "undecided" option would provide an out for anyone without a strong opinion.
I strongly disagree that you would have to be an 1800 + player to suspect if you are playing against an engine. If you think people's opinions are better not canvassed under the 1800 rating mark...You need to wake up and smell the roses !!!
