Nice going there. Black looked in pretty serious problems without being able to develop the light square bishop in time.

18 minutes of your total time used, that is fast. There is an English player named Jack Rudd who you would probably have a fast game against.

what a bloodbath. poor girl... I don't know why she even kept playing after losing the a-pawn, there's absolutely no way to stop those passers...

3rd round was very hard (looks like punishment for my easy 2nd round). my opponent was IM from Greece - Georgios Souleidis (ELO 2431). Game was long complicated and tiresome and starting from move 35-40 both of us were in time trouble (time control is 90 min + 30 sec increasment fore each move), because most of our time was spent on first 20 moves (mostly 13-22 move). Unfortunately I could not save half a point 🙁

On 4th round I will have to play with Ritvars Reimanis - young unpredicible talent. There are all three results possible. I would rate my chances as higher because I will have White.

Beating of GMs are not finished yet - in 2nd round GM Viesturs Meijers (ELO 2496) lost to young talent Kristaps Kalnins (ELO 2217) and in 3rd round strongest Latvian GM - Normunds Miezis (ELO 2540) was beaten by another young talent - Jurijs Mihailovs (ELO 2388).

After 3 rounds there are 2 leaders - Meelis Kanep and Jurijs Mihailovs with 3/3.

Standings after 3rd round and pairing for the 4rd round:

The problem lies in 16. Rc1 (Rac1 or Rec1) and Black's 27. ... Qg7 (is impossible, probably Qb7). The notation deteriorates further, 30. ... Nf8 and 33. ... Nf8 is impossible (perhaps Nf1 for White, but still then it doesn't work, or maybe Ne8). 36. Qd3 is impossible too.

Hmm, that is too complicated to figure out without a chess board.

Too complicated to figure out without the real score sheet at hand/the real game in mind indeed. Korch will need to check this himself.

Unfortunately my notation is incomplete - I have missed 1-2 moves and I have forgotten precious move order. That game was too long and too tiresome 🙁

4th round. Short draw. I did not expect French (I did expect Sicilian) and my opponent solved all opening problems. Final position did not seem promising to play for win and I offered draw.

Next round will start after 2,5 hours.
